Plum Guide Awarded Apartment. Thoughtfully furnished 2nd and 3rd floor apartment with 30mb+ Wi-Fi, Netflix TV, NEST Thermostat. Two large bedrooms each with en-suite bathrooms with under floor heating. Bedroom 1 has a double bed with an enormous window overlooking green space. Bedroom 2 is a loft style room, with a walk in shower and skylight windows with far reaching views of the Gherkin & the City. Both bedrooms have black out blinds and the beds have hotel grade mattress enhancers and linen.

A very roomy 960 sq. ft, the apartment would suit a family or a group of friends.

Two bedrooms sleep 4 but if you have a larger party we have a second apartment in the building, which can sleep an additional 2 people. Contact Host should you wish to book both apartments.

There's a modern, urban Scandi feel to the apartment with lots of attention to detail and we've repurposed materials from the recent renovation; the coffee table made from the parquet flooring of another room, the stairway handrails and the feature wooden flooring in the Master bedroom which we uncovered and restored.

There are ethical touches in home textiles such as the Weaver Green's wool-like throws made entirely from recycled plastic bottles & the complimentary toiletries from Myddfai, a Welsh Social Enterprise.

You'll get a great night's sleep in the beds which are super comfy; plush mattress enhancers, hypoallergenic bedding with a choice of pillows and hotel quality bedlinen & towels.

Access to this apartment (and the other apartment in this part of the building) is via the big front door & TinTin entrance hallway (both shown in the photo gallery). So if the other apartment is booked during your stay you may see your "neighbours". Both apartments have their own secure front doors and are entirely separate & private to the other, including heating systems and hot water.

There's lots of stairs to climb & no lift but we'll be on hand to help you with your luggage!

Located in the E8 postcode (once described by The Guardian as the coolest postcode in the whole of the UK) the apartment is 10 minutes by train to Liverpool Street and 30 minutes away from the West End by bus. E8 enjoys some of the best independent restaurants and shops in London and is a mecca if you love Artisan coffee and bakeries.

There's plenty for you to enjoy with an abundance of independent cafes, restaurants, breweries, pubs & bars as well as artisan bakeries such as E5 BakeHouse and The Dusty Knuckle and The Pavillion, boutique shopping such as Kate Sheridan, independent bookshops, theatres, music venues & cinemas.

We recommend that you check out the weekend foodie markets of nearby Stoke Newington, Chatsworth Road, Broadway Market and Victoria Park Village.

There's also plenty of nature close-by. From the Green Flag award winning common of Hackney Downs, to the rear of our house, London Fields, Victoria Park, Hackney Marshes & The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park; all can be explored on foot via Regent's Canal, a truly unique way to see London.

There's also Abney Park, one of the "Magnificent Seven" garden cemeteries of London, originating in the 18th century with a real woodland quality. Our dog's favourite daily jaunt!

With Hoxton, Shoreditch, Spitalfields & Islington as neighbours, we are closer than you might expect to many of London's historic sites & Visitor destinations.

I love our home & people so, for me, Hosting is a great combination. I'm really enthusiastic about our neighbourhood which I experience as friendly, co-operative, generous, creative & inspiring! A day never passes without exchanging a few words with other folk in the area, especially when I'm out and about with our dog, Dougal! I'm a bit of a book collector, although I need to make more time to read them and you'll notice lots of books about the house. You're welcome to pass some time browsing through the bookshelves. I'm amazed at how easy it is to reach so much of London on foot so I ditch our car in favour of walking or cycling around our neighbourhood via the abundance of green spaces, parks and even the canal-side. It's a fantastic way find of happening upon interesting places that would probably be missed otherwise. My husband and I are creative at heart so there are lots of self-made or repurposed furnishings throughout our home & having worked as a professional florist you'll probably benefit from fresh floral touches during your stay :-) Sometimes it's the small things that make a big difference and we hope that our attention to detail will really enhance your enjoyment of our home and our neighbourhood. As part of your check-in we'll show you to your apartment to ensure that you are comfortable & know where everything is and how it all works!

Prior to your check-in date, we'll email/SMS our digital Welcome Book to you. It's got our contact details and is full of essential information about the property and its' amenities; from access codes & the Guest Wi-Fi password to recommendations of where to eat and what to do, based on our favourite places right on your doorstep!

Our apartment is on the lower two floors of the house, and this apartment is on the 2nd and 3rd floors so you'll probably see us, and our Pooch, during your stay.

We'll keep ourselves to ourselves, unless you need us, in which case we'll be available and delighted to help in any way we can to make your stay really enjoyable.
