Plumfield Stable is a family homestead that is located on 230-acres of beautiful, rolling farmland located within the Eurkea Maple Woods of Wisconsin's Driftless Region. It is an active horse farm with both indoor and outdoor arenas. Supervised, in season trail rides are available on our homestead for an affordable fee for our guests. While you're here, you will enjoy the beauty of the hills and valleys as you view the immediate area from our ridgetop location and the quiet setting on a dead-end road. In addition to the breathtaking night sky and its incomprable display of stars, we often have an unobstructed view of sunrises and sunsets.
You'll see our Amish neighbors farming their land or heading to town in their buggies. You are also likely to see deer and wild turkeys in the fields.
Family Friendly? For the interest of children, there is a neat playhouse, as well as a 3-level tree house to explore. In the spring and summer, the children can also enjoy the baby ducks, baby goats, and baby rabbits. There might also be St. Bernard puppies and adorable kittens to play with! For the toddlers, there is an enclosed play area with a sandbox and swings.

My husband, Ron, and I are in our 70's and we have shared 52 meaningful years of marriage together. In 1972, we purchased a 120 acres of farmland and moved here from Wausau, WI. Later we purchased another adjacent 120 acres of farmland. Our farm has been home to an unusually large family of biological and adopted children, all of whom are now grown. Our farm remains family-friendly. Our family has been supported by my husband's CPA practice which he operates out of our home.
The property with its hills and valleys is indescribably beautiful during all seasons of the year. The surrounding area, home to many Amish families, is quiet and offers a variety of activities for vacationers.
