Private cottage located in Ohio Amish country.
We are about 30-40 minutes from the Berlin/Charm area. Most shops and restaurants are closed on Sunday.
14 miles from a stoplight in any direction, rural pretty much covers it.
The 17 year cicadas have arrived. Their shells are scattered about, they are drying their wings, little red eyes peering about. There is a low thrum of cicada voices filling the air.
Most shops and restaurants are closed on Sunday.
The Dragonfly is a 200 square foot rustic cottage. ("rustic" is code for no running water, television, and wi-fi only in driveway and decks).
It has a Queen size bed, electricity, small fridge, electric fireplace for those chilly evenings, electric kettle for hot drinks, sawdust composting toilet, fresh drinking water will be provided, outdoor solar shower in the warmer months (anything above 50 or so is "warmer").
No television, but the radio does get NPR.
Zugang für Gäste
Guests are welcome to wander the gardens, use the firepit, taunt the frogs in the pond (verbally only, no physical contact, it annoys the amphibians, and no one wants to deal with angry frogs).
Interaktion mit Gästen
We will be in and out, we are happy to tell guests about the area (winery one mile away!) and also happy to just wave in passing.

We ask that no indoor smoking take place.
We are not anti-drinking, we are anti-drunk-on-butt.
This area is quiet, no exciting nightlife (except for the raccoons, they seem to party, the possums not so much).
Our style of traveling? Laid-back wanderers.
We like hiking, walking in cities, using public transportation.
Prefer local businesses to chains for accommodations and food.
Not late night people, but are early to rise.
Readers, pet friendly, self cleaning, basically neat and tidy.
Have been known to use a candy wrapper for a bookmark, but do not dog ear pages.
