Senderos de Paz – Paths of Peace, is a 5 acre oasis, 55 yards above sea level and just 175 yards directly from the beautiful beach of Playa Manzanillo - it is a 250 yard walk/drive using the public road in front of the property. Also it is a very nice walk (or quick drive) along the beach road below our property through hardwood trees with ocean views and tide pools to the breathtaking beach of Playa Hermosa. Bungalow 3 is great for 1 or 2 people.

Die Unterkunft

Staying at Senderos de Paz and in Bungalow 3 is not like a hotel or resort stay even though the property has all the features of the experience except in a completely natural setting. There are walking trails throughout the property along with ocean views from all the homes. There is wildlife everywhere and hardwood and fruit trees throughout the entire property. One of the unique qualities of Senderos de Paz is one can stay in any of our homes or bungalows and not know there are others nearby, but if you do want to have social interaction with other guests it is easy to do.

The bungalow is provided shade by your very own star fruit tree, Carambola, that produces fruit year round. Don't be surprised to find early morning birds in the tree, Capuchin Monkeys, and late afternoon parrots and squirrels grabbing snacks and sometimes dropping fruit on the roof.

Bungalow 3 has a full bed, a full kitchen, small refrigerator, gas stove, coffee maker and all the kitchenware you'll need.

The bungalow is built in a simple one room studio style with the kitchen and bedroom on opposite sides of the floor plan and a separate bathroom area with the patios placed for pool, monkey, bird, and ocean viewing. Bungalow 3 was completed in June 2013 and recently remodeled in 2017 with laurel wood ceilings and paneling and the patios, door and window frames all accented in teak.

The bungalow comes completely furnished, fully equipped, and is surrounded by lush gardens, gravel walkways, private parking, pressurized hot/cold water, CLARO/satellite TV, wireless internet, room cleaning service every three days, laundry service available, ocean view yoga classes and (soon to be opened) our own craft brewpub.

I purchased the land in 2001 and began gardening, planting and reforesting in 2004. The property has transformed from vines and brush for cows into walking trails and gardens with over 30 different type of native trees within half an acre (2000 meters) of the bungalows.

Take time to walk along the trails of our 5 acre property...look for coatis, anteaters, jaguarundis, white face and howler monkeys, various bird species, and iguanas...or find one of our sitting areas and just watch and listen to the ocean.

We are here to help with any questions or needs, so sit back, relax, and enjoy your stay with us...

Zugang für Gäste

When staying in Bungalow 3, the guest have access to the Bungalow Pool, walking trails, various sitting areas around, the yoga shala when classes are not in session (please take off your shoes), and free Wi-Fi.

Interaktion mit Gästen

I am normally on the property everyday and am always available for anything any of our guest's needs as well as Jaclyn or Maylin.

Trey's place is amazing and he was such a lovely chill person and helped us with everything! So nice that we extended our stay for a couple of days! The views are amazing, there were monkeys in the trees while we had breakfast outside, and there are great beaches nearby. Definitely recommend getting a 4x4 car, the roads are Costa Rican :) Thanks Trey for everything again!

Have had a wonderful stay! The bungalows have everything you need and are very clean & neat, the grounds are well looked after and you've got a giant yoga area or pool to relax by. Trey has been extremely helpful with anything we've needed during our stay and is a super friendly guy : ) Would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful experience at Trey's at Senderos de Paz. Trey was very accommodating and tried hard to meet all our requests and answer all our questions about Costa Rica. We stayed in two different bungalows. The grounds are beautiful and full of wildlife. The bungalows, grounds and two swimming pools are very well-maintained and clean. Trey helped us by making advance reservations with Curu park for a snorkeling expedition. Trey's staff is very friendly and helpful. The area provides for an interesting vacation - be aware that the roads are bad (ren(URL HIDDEN)to travel around helps), but the beaches (especially Playa Hermosa, ten minutes away) are absolutely beautiful. Great view of the Pacific Ocean, and we made use of the massage table in a pavilion with a great view of the ocean.

I'm a surfer/traveler who stumbled upon Mal Pais and Santa Teresa in 1993 and never could quite let go. I made the Manzanillo/Playa Hermosa area my home in 2001 and have never looked back - great waves, incredible natural setting, and interesting people - I've found my paradise.

I've been fortunate to have lived all over the US, travel the roads with rock bands, drive through Central America by Jeep, live in Europe and Japan - all the while surfing - but I have been more fortunate to have had total strangers open their homes, hearts, family and cultures to me and show me things I could have never learned on my own. I'll never be able to thank them for their kindness and teachings, but I can repay them by passing what I can on to others. There's nothing I enjoy more thansharing what I've found here in this small, but unique corner of the world.
