The listing description was not accurate - it is listed as an Entire Home but should be listed as a Private Room. If you read the description that's fairly clear. Also, this place was full and I had to go to a different part of town to stay, so you may not stay that close to the centre if they turn out to be fully booked. Having said all that, the hosts were absolutely lovely, they made me feel very welcome, even cooking meals at times for me and the other guest, while giving us space to do our own thing. If you're happy with a private room I thoroughly recommend staying here as all the hosts/staff are very hospitable and the rooms are pretty nice for a good price. Nothing to do with hosts, but Cuenca has a number of aggressive street dogs, best to take taxis to avoid them - taxis are cheap, I walked everywhere and was attacked unprovoked by a dog one night.
This was a total mess with really nice people. Firstly, they said they would pick me up at the airport, they didn't. Eventually I made contact with them, they directed me to "their" place, except it wasn't where I had booked but the house of a friend. Their house was out of Cuenca, 30minutes walk. Thankfully they were really nice people and made me feel very welcome. When it came to payment, the original woman said she had no financial arrangement with airbnb. It took a lot of persuasive talk to explain and show her via airnbn that I had already paid. Very nice people but not with the electronic age!!!
