We have a spacious 4 bedroom house with pool & stunning entertainment area.
Situated high in the hills of Umina Beach in a quiet well healed and manicured enclave it enjoys a great vantage overlooking Ettalong, Umina Beach and beyond.
We have found paradise up here in the Central Coast since swapping Bondi Beach for Umina Beach last year.
We will be OS Dec and Jan so we opening our house up others to share over the holiday season. We enjoy being Airbnb hosts and have enjoyed over 100 five star reviews for our place in Darlinghurst. Please check out our profile to review
We enjoy total privacy within the property and it runs directly onto Brisbane Water National Park. With that said our little Roo, Bunny & Turkey friends do glance in from time to time when passing.
The house is open plan with a split level landing which the bedrooms run off. The cathedral-like roof heighten the sense of space alien to most city dwellers like us who came from a shoebox in the Eastern Subs of Sydney.
You walk through the living room, through to the open plan kitchen and dining area which enjoy the view that can be properly enjoyed with a glass of wine from our large entertainment area. Downstairs is a the pool area and below the house cool area where is currently being used a gym.
The first thing that hits you get out the car and look down and take in the sprawling views is a sense of peace and serenity. The silence is stunning. You not in the city now boy!
We are an hour to a hour twenty drive from Sydney, or hour on the train (nearest station is Woy Woy, which is six minutes drive from the house)
Spacious with a large brown leather sofa. The living room has a 46in Widescreen TV. We have Netflix, and you can also stream ABC (iView), SBS, Youtube in HD. We have Chromecast connected to both TV’s (other TV in the dining room) so you can stream anything from your computer to the screen. We also have standard TV. There is also a bunch of toys, a raised wooden kids train island (Thomas The Tank - See pic).
Our beautiful kitchen with sea views has been upgraded since we bought last year with brand new top of the line dishwasher, oven and fridge freezer. There is an espresso machine and all Nespresso machine.
We will leave out all the essential herbs, spices, olive oil, sugar, salt etc to get you started. And perhaps a bottle of wine!
You will be spending most you time out here. We bought a large gas Webber BBQ and there is also heating on the off chance you get an unlikely cold snap.
It’s a stunning place to spend you time lounging, eating and sipping up the view.
You also have view of the pool area from the deck.
Master Bedroom: There is a master bedroom with a queen bed and en-suite and shower and mirrored built-ins. This room has French Windows that open up into the front courtyard.
Second Bedroom: With a window overlooking the pool and bush. We have a very comfortable futon that comes out a large double bed ( almost a queen). This room also has mirrored built in’s with plenty of hanging room.
Kids Room 1. This is out three-year old's room. We have a really cool (he thinks it is anyway) wooden bed that is accessed by a ladder. We have a base and mattress that fits below that to make it into a bunk if required, otherwise is a cave for the kids to play in. Again there is plenty of storage and hanging room.
A note on kids, we have a heap of toys and potentially things like a bike, bouncers, high chairs etc. We are happy to share. Let us know.
Nursery: This is where out 6 month old sleeps (when he does!). We could move the cot out and put in a double bed (inflatable mattress which is actually very comfortable, it blows up in 20 seconds) as an option. Again there is inbuilt’s with a lot of storage
The is a dining area off the kitchen with a French Dinner table and a Wide Screen TV.
We have a medium sized resort pool with will be a perfect temperature come December. We have kids swimming bans, inflatables, lilos etc for water fun. It’ the perfect tonic on a hot day.
We have off street parking for one, but the area is very quite and there is an abundance of street spaces. It’s very safe and the roads are wide, so the risk of a scrape is below unlikely.
We have a 2013 Nissan Trailer (potentially with baby and child seat). We may explore the possibility of renting this out if we got a longer term booking. Get in touch if to discuss how that might work.
You will need a car our place. As mentioned we might be able to help you with this. The hill to access our area is very steep.
We have shops at the bottom of the hills (general store, chemist, bottle shop, bakery etc) two minutes drive away, or you can continue on to Umina and there is a Coles and a Woolworths 5-6 minutes drive away. Life is easy up here, you drive and park, there is no trailing around looking for a park for half an hour.
Eats & Drinks & Culture
There is some really good spot to check out not the door step. For breakfast don’t look past Coast in Ettalong (7 minutes away) and for some beachside drinks and dining our favorite spot is Margarita Daze.
For more tips about eats, drinks, markets, shopping cultural events, activities please check out our friend Christy’s excellent blog Coastal Chic ((website hidden) it) or her Instagram (coastal_au). She has amassed a stunning 70k Instagram followers visually highlighting the cultural delights of our local area.
Well, last but not least, the beaches…there are so many! We are five minutes from the beautiful Umina Beach ( and it really is a stunner), around 7 minutes drive to Ettalong Beach. We are also a short 10 minutes drive from the exclusive Sydney weekender spots of Pearl Beach and Patonga.
The beauty of the central coast, is that you are 15-30 minutes way from a plethora amazing beaches spots such as hubs like Avoca and Terrigal, or more discrete beauty spots like Pretty Beach and Shelly Beach.
We have a lovely cat called Dave. In the main he lives outside (especially when visitors pop around). We will arrange for somebody to pop around and feed him.
We look forward to hearing from you. Discounts available for longer stays, please contact me to disucss.

We are a young family from the UK. We have just produced a little Australian called Oscar. I am Scottish and a passionate muso who worked in the music industry for many years as a publicist. With the intention of getting in the family way a couple of years ago I got my self a ‘proper’ job and I am now working as a recruiter in the creative industries. Alice is English, an amazing mother, a graphic designer by trade and a passionate interior designer at heart. We both love meeting new people, exploring new menus and travel…and the odd glass of red.
We look forward to meeting you when you stay.
