Guelph is a city that divides its garbage into composting, recycling, and waste. We provide a container for each, and appreciate it if our guests put their garbage into the appropriate container.
Laundry can be used between 7 pm and 7 am, cold wash only. The washing machine has a timer, so you can use that delay your start time, if needed. We have a clothesline and drying racks for drying.
- Environmentally conscious, love to cook and try new foods and recipes, crave the remote wilderness and its solitude, enjoy growing our own foods and living with a small environmental footprint. Enjoy a variety of music / concerts / festivals, and just being in nature. Am active and enjoy hiking/scuba-diving/snorkeling/rowing/yoga but also love to chill with a good book or some good music.
- I am respectful, appreciative, tidy, friendly guest, who loves to chat travelling stories with others.
- Travels in the last 10 years has included backpacking, couch $urfing, and WOOFing in the following places: Dominica (highlights: Boiling Lake, Waterfalls, Wild and naturalized hot springs), Belize (highlights: diving and seeing Loggerhead turtle, Hawksbill turtle, and swam with Nurse sharks and stingrays); Australia (highlights: diving with the endangered Eastern Grey Nurse Sharks; watching monitors claim their territory; farmer's markets in Port Douglas and Byron Bay; running into Cassowaries in the wild; remote beaches; National Parks); New Zealand (highlights: the locals!; the birds! especially seeing Kiwis; multi-day trekking over the mountains; National Parks); State of Washington (highlights: glissading down Mount Saint Helens volcano; Olympic National Park).
- Personal philosophy:
Everything that happens in your life happens for a reason, and we grow into a better person by each experience, good or bad. Live life to the fullest each day, because each day is special in its own way.
