My husband and I staying in this apartment for nearly 3 months and we loved it! It has all the basics and is in a good neighborhood. The neighborhood is uptown and fairly quiet most of the time. The location is ideal as it is only around the corner from a subway station, a grocery store, laundromat and public library. Michael was great to deal with and Lenny, the super, was incredibly helpful and accommodating. We really liked staying here and would recommend it to others!

I stayed in Michael's apartment for 2 and a half months and it was a great experience. The place is super convenient - subway stop (C train), laundromat and grocery store are right around the corner. The location is a 25 minute subway ride to mid-town Manhattan. The apartment was clean and had everything I needed, including towels, linen, coffee maker, iron and iron stand and some cleaning, supplies for my long stay. I've lived in Manhattan for a years and know from experience that it can get quite noisy but this place is surprisingly quiet. The apartment itself is located in a walk-up on a quiet tree-lined street, close to a historical mansion and a library on the corner. I didn't meet Michael, but was greeted by the building super, Lenny. he was easy to get a hold of on the phone and was helpful with any questions. I'm definitely going back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a temporary stay in the city.

I stayed in the apartment for a month. I didn’t meet Michael in person but he made sure that everything was fine and he was very accessible and kind. The apartment was clean and although it is small, it is ok for a single person or a couple. The kitchen has enough utensils to cook, plus oven, microwave and plenty of space for storing. The neighbors are quiet as well as the street. The apartment is very close to a supermarket, stores and 24 h laundromats. Very well connected with C train and also you can walk to A/D/1 trains. In 2 minutes walking you can visit Morris-Jumel Mansion, the oldest house in the borough, and Sylvan Terrace. I recommend this place if you are going to spend several weeks in NY and want the privacy of your own apartment.

My husband and I stayed in this apartment for a month while visiting NYC. This is a small but clean apartment in the Washington Heights neighborhood. Our favorite thing was how QUIET it was, no street noise or rowdy neighbors or anything. The Wi-Fi also was very strong and worked great. The unit is pretty sparsely furnished which made it a little tough for a longer stay like ours (we ended up buying things like fans and sofa pillows to make it more comfortable) but for shorter visits it would probably be fine. Michael was readily accessible whenever we had problems or issues. The super was very friendly and helpful and attentive as well. The apartment is on a quiet street in Washington Heights. The C train stops about a block away, which was very convenient, and the 1, A and D trains were only about a 10 minute walk away. We loved being so close to both parks along the riverfront, as well as the beautiful Ford Tyron Park and Cloisters just up the road. That said, there weren't too many restaurants, cafes and bars in close proximity - we often went on a short bike ride or train ride when we wanted to go out. All in all, we had a great visit.

Thanks Maria, I am glad that you both enjoyed your stay. Quiet can be hard to come by in New York. Thanks for the tip, there is now a cutting board and extra knifes, a wine opener and another chair besides the sofa, and kitchen table and chairs. If you want to be near a lot of restaurants please check out my Chelsea building on West 29th St for your next stay. Although the prices are about 50% more expensive at the Chelsea building, there are tons of restaurants and galleries and shows. Michael

I moved to Manhattan almost right after graduating college and have since lived in almost every neighborhood. I am a member of several local organizations for more than a decade. I own properties in 3 different Manhattan neighborhoods.
I enjoy skiing, boating, billiards and tennis and have recently enjoyed a beginning in yoga. I would like to re- take up racquetball and golf which I used to play when I had more time and I love to travel.
