After a misunderstanding in the first night, Lorraine was very welcoming. Make sure she explains you how to lock the door properly ;) The room is very simple, everything was very clean and the area is very nice.

I did explain the locks to Tanja's Sister-in-law, but I was locked out! Tanja thought I was home and very kindly put on the bolts!!!

Pleasant single room in a lovely house in a very nice neighbourhood. Lorraine made me extremely welcome, with tea and biscuits on arrival and sharing her detailed knowledge of the area. She provided me with the essential space and equipment in the kitchen for making breakfasts and warming meals in the evnings if desired. The bathroom was clean and the shower very good.

My first experience at Airbnb were good. Lorrain is very kind. I slept in a small room which is absolutley sufficient. It´s a very nice Area where is none of these Traffic-noise. The Connection to the City is also very good.

Lorraine is a very nice host and she really tries to give her guests a great time at her place. If you're lucky you get to try her cooking and baking and get to hear some of her uniqe stories of her life. If she offers you a trip to Barnes do it! Her house is in a great location: local natural reserves, the river and the center of Barnes. There are several options to reach the more central area of London, so that is not a problem. I think the room is a really good offer for those who want to visit London but rather stay in a more quiet and safe area. Since I have been to London for work rather than vacation, I really appreciate to stay at a place where I can relax.

Lorraine was the kindest, most helpful and friendliest host you can imagine. She did not only show me the neighbourhood but also had lots of useful advices and very interesting stories to tell. Not to mention the delicious cake I was allowed to taste. If you meet her make sure you find some time to talk to her and hear something about her really fascinating life. She would probably do everything to make her guests feel comfortable and I believe if I had asked for a meeting with the Queen, Lorraine would have somehow made that possible as well ;) Her house lies in a very quiet and safe neighbourhood from where you can reach the city easily by bus. Though Barnes itself is worth a view as well. Thanks Lorraine for a perfect start in London! (I recently moved to the city and stayed with Lorraine while I was looking for a flat.) We'll meet again soon for sure. :)
