"The Best AirBNB I've ever stayed in!" is something we've heard from almost a dozen previous guests and we take pride in every detail of the apartment to make certain your stay is also the best. Make yourself at home in our freshly remodeled apartment in our recently gutted old Seattle craftsman house with a plethora of eco-friendly features. Located on a quiet street blocks away from shops, restaurants, bus lines, and Swedish Hospital, Seattle U, and quick access to downtown.
Under no circumstances may guests smoke anything of any sort inside the apartment. Smoking is permitted outside and away from open windows and doors. cigarette butts must be disposed of properly.
Due to severe cat allergies, cats are strictly prohibited. dogs are allowed on a case by case basis. If you leave your dog alone in the apartment, the dog must be confined. either in a kennel that you bring or in the laundry room behind the pet gate that is provided for you. this is for your pet's safety and for the preservation of our property.
We try to go above and beyond to make your experience with us a great one! Is there something not to your liking when you arrive? Let us know right away so that we may remedy the situation for you!
We've stocked the apartment with any toiletry we think you might need or could forget to bring, please help yourself but try not to clean us out!
The water in Seattle is totally safe to drink, and some of the best and tastiest water quality in the US - fresh off the mountain snow pack. we encourage you to re-use water bottles left for you or drink from the tap :) There are also reusable to-go bottles and cups in the cabinets for your use.
Please use our bikes! However, cycling around Seattle is at your own risk, and by agreeing to our house rules, you agree to hold us harmless of any cycling accident or injury you may incur. Please use the helmets-it's the law. We work hard to keep the bikes maintained and in good working order, but we appreciate being notified immediately if something is not functioning properly. Be nice to our bikes! do not jump extreme curbs and avoid pot-holes. This is how flat tires occur, and if ridden hard enough, bent rims happen. These are expensive fixes and probably means the bike is out of commission for the next guest. Please don't leave the bikes exposed to extreme weather, use the seat cover if it is raining, and do not park the bikes for more than a few hours in public places in downtown Seattle. The bike might not be there when you come back! If the bike is stolen while under your care, we have the right to hold you responsible and use your security deposit towards bike replacement.
Ants are attracted to the compost - if it's summertime and you're throwing lots of compost out, help us by taking it to the big compost bin on the side of the garage on a regular basis.
Please do not place suitcases on the beds and furniture. We have provided suitcase stands for you to help preserve our linens and upholstery.
Don't forget to leave the parking pass behind when you leave- Thank you!

Living in Seattle, but born in South Africa and grew up in Illinois & Ohio. My husband and I are both architects, and when we're not remodeling our 110 year old house, we're hiking, camping, backpacking, snowboarding, hanging out with our English and German Wirehaired Pointers, watching the Alabama game, hosting campfires in the backyard, or designing our next remodel project.
