Sometimes things just don't fall into place as we would like them to - but as you can see by our 90 overwhelmingly positive reviews about our studio on the same grounds, the majority of the time we do a pretty good job of getting it right. Anne, I hope you enjoyed the large tropical fruit bowl, the large pitcher of fresh squeezed juice made from fruit grown on our farm, and home made bread and candles! Sorry you had bad weather and a sick car. I hope you give our little country another try. The back story: Anne was our first guest! yeah! I explained we were working the small kinks out, and asked her help by making a list of anything missing at all. She asked for night lights and I provided them. She mentioned the blanket seemed old, and then said not to worry about it. I bought a new one. Anne you should have mentioned the sheets! I'd have bought brand new ones. It takes just as much time to express concerns as it does to write an unsatisfactory review. If we are informed, we can make it right and everybody is happy - now that's Pura Vida! A one bedroom house with full kitchen on six acre estate with panoramic views etc, for $75 a night is hard to find in Costa Rica. Regarding the internet - the guest house is about 250 feet from our house (is that "close by?") - and is a separate account. The last long term tenant ran up a $700 phone and internet bill and left the country. I had to provide the cable company a copy of the lease before they reconnected service in my name. The good news - the internet will be working again 12/17/2014! Things are slow here in the tropics. Also there was a communication gap as I don't speak German, and Anne's English was not perfect, plus it was raining hard and they seemed to want their space. Good luck Anne we enjoyed your stay! If you come back we will make it right - promise.
