Couldn't have asked for a much better place for our time in Miami. John Henry was super accommodating about check-in/-out times and was there to personally walk us through the apartment when we got there. The couches are super comfy and definitely roomy enough if someone need…

We had a great experience with John Henry and the apartment. It is situated in a fantastic location just off Lincoln Road so we parked our car on Friday night and didn't drive again until we left on Sunday. It was super helpful and a great savings to have the resident parking p…

Loved this place! Before booking I emailed the host, John Henry, to see if the dates I requested were available. He immediately replied to my inquiry which was great as I was looking at his apartment just days before my arrival and needed a quick response. In fact, the communi…

I would give this overall experience a "D". The apartment and location were great however the amenities weren't so accommodating. Upon arrival I noticed that the floors were dirty and hadn't been swept or mopped. There wasn't any hot water pressure for the first 2 1/2 days out of…

Leo and his friends arrived 30 minutes early, which is why the "floors were dirty and hadn't been swept or mopped. Upon arrival, one of them complained about the apartment being on the second floor. Wow. A whole flight of stairs huh ? There WAS hot water available in the shower, as I actually came over a demonstrated, it was just not very high pressure and had been acting up recently. Due to the holidays i was not able to get a plumber out to the apartment until 3 days after their arrival. But they did have hot water. it just took a few minutes. Leo mentioned he worked for a upscale hotel company, so perhaps he was expecting something a little more modern. This is an old building from the 1920's and the hot water pressure is not at all in our control. We'll make a note of it for future guests. But the last guests we had had no problems with the shower. They paid the same rat as Leo. I informed Leo several days in advance about he plumber and the pest control as well as several times the morning of the schedules maintenance. I got no responses. When I got there there were two more people than Leo had told me about staying at the apartment. While these people were technically allowed per my policy at that time of up to 5 guests without extra nightly charges, he nevertheless failed to inform me of their arrival. When i came by to get the package I was expecting - which, by the way, was an iphone that had to have a signature - no one was at the apartment and when one of his friends did arrive, I left. It's my apartment, and if there's maintenance to be done by the building on it, I need to be there. Same for an important package delivery. I'll make no apologies for that. Lastly, I told Leo and his friends "no hard partying" at the apartment and came over to find beer bottles on my printer, TV stand, and pretty much all over the kitchen and living room. I also found pair of MEN's UNDERWEAR hanging on my the head of my favorite guitar (yes I have a photo) . Do you have any idea how disrespectful and just plain gross that is ? Leo and his friends complained literally from the moment they arrived (early). I tried as best I could to be accommodating to their needs, despite their clear disregard for my house rules, but honestly I don't think they would have been happy anywhere that wasn't a professional hotel. If I had to grade their stay I'd give it an "F". I even gave them a short but good review to try to end on a better note, but I'd retract that at this point. I don't recommend him or his friends as guests. They're high-maintenance and rude.
