"We were part of a large party staying in the house in July 2012. It was perfect for us. The photos tell the whole story. I only need to add that the area is wonderful for a holiday with extremely interesting castles, palaces, parks and gardens to visit, many of them within walking distance. The local restaurants are great, (do not miss the pastry shop in Sintra village). Lisbon is a short drive away, as is the beach with the most exciting kite surfing and wind surfing opportunities and viewing. The resort towns of Estorial and Cascais are also within easy driving distance. The Sintra area is one of those very special corners of Europe that highly deserves its status as a UNESCO world heritage site. Lastly, I can highly recommend the maid service and the meals provided were simply delicious."

“In the evening we could have our drinks on the terraces and look up to the centuries old Moorish castle. We even found a way to walk up through the woods to the castle and the royal Palace!”

"A fantastic house in one of those extraordinary parts of Europe which despite being a UNESCO World Heritage Site few people seem to know. The house is brilliant for a large party with great communal spaces and a well equipped kitchen, only a short, leafy walk from the lovely village of Sintra with its restaurants, castle and mad palaces. Don’t miss out!"
