As the Garden room is separate from the main house, it is very private. It has direct access to the pool from the shower room. The room is rustic in style yet with all mod cons and a superior bathroom.

The guests have use of the pool, gardens and the Garden House Verandah.

Depends whether the guests want privacy or to socialize

The neighbourhood is peaceful, lots of birdlife, monkeys to watch yet convenient for nightlife, bars, restaurants only minutes away in Unwatuna.

there are buses on the main road ten minutes away and easy to call a tuk tuk to the house if necessary. Also there is the Colombo Matara trainline a short walk from the house

I do have three rescue dogs, all well behaved and gentle so you must like dogs!

Nicht für Haustiere geeignet

Eventuell nicht für Kinder geeignet (unter 2 Jahre)
Der Check-in ist nach 12:00.

To treat the house and staff with respect. No loud music which could upset the neighbours or other guests.

I can't live without red meat, oysters, french cheese and good friends.... so why am I in Sri Lanka! A good question . My first visit was two days after the Tsunami eight years ago and I fell in love with the island. I came back to look for a property, built my first home and I am now in my third house over a period of five years..... I worked as an interior designer in UK so love the challenge of restoring and building here but do miss those luxuries of life listed above! I love to travel as often as possible, Istanbul being one of my favourite destinations and Paris has to be my favourite city in the world but do need to get to Buenos Aires soon.
Reading is a big thing here as not much else going on so I devour books and am a member of a local book club. Pilates and lengths of the pool are compulsory daily. I am into Opera and Requiems but rather out of touch with what's going on in Europe right now on the modern music scene . You certainly don't want to be with me in my car when I sing along badly to whatevers playing on the local Golden Oldies Radio Station. I am passionate about film and art movies but difficult here in Sri Lanka to access... another reason for getting out and about frequently.

This years motto : DO, OR DO NOT. THERE IS NO TRY.
