Our comfortable two bedroom/one bath shared apartment is in the heart of the most desirable neighborhood in Manhattan. Experience the uniqueness of the West Village and all it has to offer.
HONEST DESCRIPTION: We are offering a share situation for those interested in that type of experience. It is a two bedroom/one bath apartment. It's on the top floor in a five floor walk-up (83 steps. Our 93 year old neighbor attributes those steps to her longevity). Three rooms total. Two bedrooms: one queen bed (your room) and one twin bed (my room). Maximum guests at one time: 2. A very cozy, comfortable apartment that is a great place to come home to. Frequently rented out and everyone likes the homey feel of the apartment ("cottage in the sky" "a place I could sit for hours" "most charming Airbnb so far"), and of course, the location is in the best part of Manhattan. The apartment is in the back of the building so you won't hear a lot of the city street noise, though there's currently some construction in the building in the back that has been noisy some week days.
The apartment building was constructed in 1929, so our home has some of the older NY building quirks: slanted floor, no sink in bathroom (we utilize kitchen sink) and you can still see the pipes in the wall when everything was lit by gaslight. You could call it old world charm, but it is what it is. It is decorated all in warm tones that you can just sink into.
If you're looking for homey comfort and location, location, location, and are not put off by stairs, please check availability. We've had three wedding proposals (one went down to the courthouse and got it taken care of during their stay (the courthouse will need two days notice)) while guests were staying with us. Could be the stairs, the water, we're not sure.
We purposely took our own pictures in this listing and did not do the professional photographer route because we want people to really see what they’re signing up for and not an artistic view of our stuff. We keep the price at our cost as we want to share what New York has to offer with the world.
On bus line, two subway lines both a five minutes walk away (Christopher Street #1 train and Fourth Street A, B, C, E, F, M), near Highline Park, Hudson River Park, a million great places to eat and shop, curvy cobbled streets to meander, Magnolia Bakery, it's the more subdued part of Manhattan.
Our only rules are leave the place as you found it and no smoking.
Zugang für Gäste

Weitere wichtige Infos
We have a notebook that we and past guests have put together through the years that is in constant update, but it lists most everything you would want to know about the apartment, things to do, where to go and eats.
All we ask is that you leave the place as you found it. No smoking or incense burning in the apartment please.
