We love our chalet and apartment! We don't pretend that its great luxury, but we think its great value, clean, cosy, well equipped, private and above all a fabulous base to explore the lovely Beaufortain area of the French Alps, summer or winter.
The apartment is not suitable for pets.
Just finished in 2014, this is a lovely light, well insulated space with lots of room compared to many apartments in or around ski areas. We are currently adding finishing touches and are looking forward to new people exploring this lovely area using our apartment as a base.
The apartment is on the first floor and accessed by an entrance area with plenty of cycle/ski storage. One in the apartment you are completely self contained and not overlooked any other adjoining properties. The space is light and airy with a large glass door leading out onto a spacious balcony.
Two bedrooms offer one double and two twin beds.
The bathroom comprises a walk-in shower, WC and sink. A washing machine and drying facilities are provided free of charge.
The kitchen is brand new with adequate space and has electric hob, large electric oven, dishwasher and fridge. The kitchen is equipped with all the usual small utensils.
The dining area has a solid oak Louis XIII table and 6 dining chairs.
Two 3-seater settees and a 40-inch LCD TV with DVD player and selection of DVD's offer cosy night-time relaxation (Note - TV purely for playback of DVD etc, no signal reception).
Guests can roam freely on the private land which comprises mature deciduous woodland with footpaths and a large grazed meadow. The adjacent chalet is also rented and we ask guests to respect each others privacy.
Access to 3 ski areas (Areches-Beaufort, Les Saisies, Les Contamines-Montjoie) offering well priced skiing to suit all abilities. Some of the best downhill mountain biking and road cycling in the Alps.
An unspoilt, traditional corner of the mountains with wild flower meadows, lakes and towering peaks. Franch charm a-plenty in the locality with local markets and bakeries a short drive away.
Access to over 7 acres of woodland and meadows - ideal for children to play.
Unfortunately we are not on site but only a phone call away. We have a local friend who helps with changeovers and any problems that may arise during your stay. The owners can be contacted at any time by phone should you have any queries.
Unspoilt by large infrastructure, the Beaufortain is a well kept secret. This is a lovely area to visit whatever the season.
Public transport is limited but there is a bus stop just 200m away which goes up to the closest ski area and Beaufort, the closest town. Summer uplift for mountain biking leaves from the same stop. The Tour De France often passes the door so this is biking heaven for would-be kings of the mountains. Albertville is 15km down-valley and offers shopping and eating convenience as well as the charming old town.
Electricity is included in the rental price. There is wifi broadband.

Hi, I'm Neil, a family man with 3 lovely girls whom I love sharing fun and adventure with. I'm a passionate outdoorsman and have more hobbies than I have time for! Among them are climbing, paragliding, sailing, kayaking, biking and skiing. It was my passion for the latter sport that made me and my friend Jake buy our lovely chalet in the French Alps.
Over the last nine years we have spent many many superb weeks there, immersed in the incredible beauty and majesty of the mountains. We love our chalet and have now added a brand new apartment, offering modern, cosy accommodation for 4 people. We'd love to welcome you to this hidden corner of the Alps and hope you can experience a little of the fun we have...
If you love the mountains, want natural beauty rather than night life and massive infrastructure, then our place is right up your street.
