Juliet and I are both disappointed to receive your feedback. As you will be able to see we generally have glowing reviews and our guests rave about the house. You must appreciate, however, that this house is not run as a "B & B" or "Homestay" as you suggest. It is rented out as a whole house managed by a very experienced and competent property manager through sites like AirBnB. I am also personally disappointed that you complain about the pricing. I gave you a 20% discount in recognition of the fact that you are an AirBnB Superhost making your stay very cheap. Queenstown has the most expensive accommodation in NZ, but perhaps you were not aware of that. You are correct that there is a staircase comprising 20 stairs between the 2 levels of the house. The house is clearly described as having 2 levels on the website. The carpeted stairs are low rise and have a wide tread, making them very user friendly and there is a sturdy handrail all the way up. If the "seniors" in your group were going to struggle with stairs then perhaps you should have enquired prior to making your booking. I specifically note that you did not mention prior to making your booking that there were "seniors" in your group. In any event we often have older people staying in the house and I am not aware that anyone has ever encountered any difficulties at all with the stairs. We were not able to accommodate your requests for an early check-in and late check-out because we had guests leaving the date of your arrival and arriving the date of your departure. You would have been able to see this on the website calendar at the time you made the booking. I also note that you did not enquire as to the possibility of such indulgences prior to making your booking, indeed the request for an early check-in only came the day before your arrival. You must understand that our professional housekeepers require an empty house in order to properly clean, change the linen on the beds and do everything else required to ready the house for the next guests. As it was I think we did very well in getting you in an hour earlier than the time specified on the website. I was unaware that you required additional bedding or towels. Ample is provided for the house accommodating 10 people. Especially for your short 3 day stay. If you did need something extra then all you had to do was make a request of either myself or Juliet. I cannot understand how you say the house is cold. Your stay was in the summer (a particularly wonderful summer too). We have underfloor heating, a gas fireplace and a heat pump downstairs and each of the bedrooms upstairs has its own wall heater. The house is anything but cold. We are in the process of bringing in a basics kit for the pantry and I take on board your feedback here. But I repeat this is not a "B & B" or "Homestay" and if guests wish to eat at home then they will naturally have to supply their own food. The items we do supply are set out on the website. At the end of the day, however, I do hope that you enjoyed your time in Queenstown and had save travels home.
