Our Ground Floor Family Self Catering Apartment, Beach Hut, sleeps up to 4 guests. Ideal for a family of four, or two couples happy to share, well equipped with everything you need for a great Cornish holiday!
Access is via the main building, comprising 4 apartments.
Apartment entrance leads straight in to the open plan living space – approx 4.3m x 5m – includes: well equipped kitchenette; small dining table and chairs for 4 guests; TV; comfortable 3 seater sofa and 2 chairs. Window looks out on to drive way. Bedrooms lead immediately off the living space.
Beach Hut has 2 bedrooms, each with their own shower en suite facility:
Bedroom 1 : Kingsize bed with shower en suite – approx 3m x 3m. Wardrobe and drawers for clothes storage + small flat screen TV. Bedroom window looks out on to shared decking area (shared with 2 other apartments).
Bedroom 2: Twin beds with shower en suite – approx 3m x 3m The twin beds can be pushed together to make a superking size bed. Wardrobe and drawers for clothes storage + small flat screen TV - please let us know when booking if the superking size configuration is required. Please note the ensuite shower facility in this room is compact. Bedroom windows look out on to drive way.
One travel cot can be accommodated in the double (kingsize) bedroom, although space and comfort is compromised.

Facilities include dishwasher; hob and oven, microwave; fridge freezer; vacuum cleaner; iron and iron board; indoor fold away clothes airer; TV; free WIFI; hairdryers in each bedroom; shared garden and covered decking area with BBQ, outdoor seating and tables;
External shared washing machine (coin operated) and sink for hand washing; shared out door rotary airer, and hose pipe for swilling wet suits.
Guests are welcome to use the shared covered decking area (3 apartments share this space) with seating and out door dining, leading to small garden area with stone built BBQ. BBQ tools are provided in each apartment. Guests are welcome to borrow beach gear - wind breaks, buckets, spades, crab lines, beach mats and body boards ( all on a first come first served basis). There is also a selection of games (and toys for our younger guests!), with a couple of books about local wild life and flora. We have a wide selection of leaflets in the main building, with idea's for places to visit and family days out.
Outside facilities include off road parking at the front of the property for one car per apartment. More parking or parking for larger vehicles can be arranged, but must be requested at the time of booking.

Although we have pets - cats and dogs - Beach Hut apartment is a pet free zone. Our pets live with us, in our own apartment on site, although of course our cats will naturally wander through the garden and decking areas!
Outdoor areas Unsuitable for ball games and bike riding
Newquay Airport is less than a mile away, not Heathrow of course, but guests can expect some air traffic during the day!
It is possible to accommodate a baby (up to 18 months) in a cot in bedroom 1 with the double bed, although space and comfort is compromised. There is a charge for baby as a 5th guest - £3.00 per night. We can supply a travel cot, high chair and baby bath - please let us know when booking if you require a travel cot - thank you!
Towels and linen are provided, beds made ready for your arrival. Replacement bedding and linen is available on request during longer stays, £5 per guest.
WIFI is free. Although service can drop out occasionally - we run our business with very few issues from here! Mobile phone signal is poor, but signal returns just a few meters away.
Strictly no smoking indoors. Smoking is permitted outside at the front and rear of the building.
We are a family establishment, in a quiet, peaceful neighbourhood. We welcome couples, singles and families. Sorry - no stag or hen groups, no single sex event/party groups . Strictly no smoking, and no pets.
Please consider our neighbours and other guests at all times, and we politely ask that noise levels are kept to a minimum, just as you would in your own home - thank you!
There is one parking space per apartment, on our drive way. Guests are asked not to park anywhere else.
We are very sorry, children are asked not play in the road / lane adjacent to the apartments as this does not belong to Kernow Trek
Hello! We are Andrew and Rosie Pearman. We have lived our dream of living in Cornwall since 2005, running a very busy and successful B&B here at Kernow Trek Lodge. We have hung up the frying pan in 2014, and converted our home, Kernow Trek, in to 4 self catering apartments. We have four wonderful children, a gorgeous little grand daughter, and we all love the chilled Cornish way of life, our gorgeous beaches and breath taking views, that turquoise sea and everything Cornwall!
