I hate to say it, but I also have to agree with the previous reviewer. I love Airbnb and I always look for positive things to say when leaving a review, but I just can't here. We rented for one month in between buying and selling our house, and it was the longest month of my life!
Please note that this is NOT run like an Airbnb, this is run like an apartment and you will not get any special treatment or considerations. Everything must be done within office hours. We were also asked by apartment staff to "help" another Airbnb renter with their cable because they "did not want to bother Tim, the property manager."
First of all, there are no house rules or check in policies listed, so when we tried to check in on the first night of our stay the office was closed and neither we or Airbnb could get a hold of anyone at the complex. Airbnb was great and put us up in a hotel for the night, but we were still stranded with 2 dogs and all of our possessions until the next day.
Once we checked in, we were escorted to a 2nd floor apartment. This was also not as advertised and we would not have booked if we knew.
The apartment was constantly noisy with drilling, jack hammering painting and constant disruptions right outside our door. Another reason we chose to book here was because of the tennis court, but the lights did not work the entire time we were there, despite asking the host and being told that he would call the electrician. So glad we bough $300 worth of tennis equipment before coming...
I was going to write about the gates being a plus, but the gates to the parking lot are also broken and were left open all night most nights. In addition there was an incident one night where a person climbed the gate next to our door and started screaming profanities and causing a fuss. Security came out, but no action was taken.
Lastly, the AC unit does not work properly and you can not take a shower or use the dishwasher or oven without heating up the apartment. I let the host know and had to wait 2 days for the maintenance man to address. I asked specifically that he call first because I take conference calls at home. I was told that he would call, but nope... He showed up right in the middle of one of my calls, and unfortunately the AC performed even worse after the maintenance, but at this point I had given up.
Just be aware when booking and ask plenty of questions before hand. There are plenty of Airbnbs that I would recommend, but sadly not this one. Luckily our house closed early and we were able to leave before our planned date... Just wish we could get the money back for those days.
