High Rim Bed and Breakfast sits in a beautiful mountainous setting between Big White ski resort and the scenic town of Kelowna on the shores of Okanagan Lake. This is an ideal location for people who love a peaceful setting with access to the best in outdoor life. Enjoy close availability to skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, hiking, golfing, water skiing or boating on the lake. What's wonderful about our location is the close access to exciting locations such as Big White ski resort within 30 mins and Wild Play Elements Park, a 5 min drive. Just down the road a few minutes is the Okanagan High Rim Trail which connects Kelowna to Vernon through 55km of wilderness. The trail ranges from wide open spaces with spectacular views of the valley to shaded more denser areas laden with Cedar and Lodgepole Pine trees. There are six different access points for this trail. The main access from Kelowna is Philpott Road and Highway 33 (4 minutes from the B and B). There is close to 700 m in elevation gain.

Myra Canyon Trestles
This incredibly scenic portion of the KVR features 18 trestle bridges and 2 tunnels, originally build at the turn of the last century, and rebuilt again (near exact replica) between (phone number hidden) when the Okanagan Mountain Park fire claimed 12 of the trestle bridges. There are a few ways to enjoy the Myra Canyon, which stretches about 12km from end to end. You might choose to walk a portion, rent bikes or take a fully guided tour.

Kettle Valley Railway
The main Kettle Valley Rail Trail extends from Midway in the east to Brodie in the west. Many people enjoy bicycling from the Myra Canyon along the trestles across the Naramata Bench passing by the numerous world class artisan wineries before choosing to stop for a glass of wine and a spectacular view of the lake.

With more than 120 wineries, the Thompson Okanagan is BC's oldest, largest, and most popular wine-producing region. By car, bike, self-guided or guided tour, visitors can experience some, many or all of the spectacular and award winning wineries in the region. From the family run artisans, boutique and magnificent estates the likes of Mission Hill all offer intimate tastings, many gold medal and prize wines from internationally known wineries.

Big White Ski Resort (elevation 2315 m) is the highest mountain of the Okanagan Highland and also of the Beaverdell Range, a subtrane of that formation, which lies between the Okanagan Valley to its west and the main spine of the Monashee Mountains to its east.

Lake Okanagan, a stunning body of water spanning 110km from north (Vernon) to the south (Penticton). Kelowna sits just about half way. Lake Okanagan is welcoming and refreshing during the hot summer, 270C-340C. Enjoy the lake from one of the 30 beaches or from a stand up paddleboard, kayak, canoe, pedal-boat, ski boat, houseboat, sailboat, charter, wakeboard or flyboard. Take a hike on the Knox Mountain or Paul's Tomb trails.

3. If coming on winter snowy days you must have an All Wheel or 4WD in order to get up our driveway.

Der Check-in ist nach 15:00.

Our house is dog friendly but we require you to be sure your pet behaves in a polite manner. We will have plenty available poop bags and ask you to clean up after your dog when around the main house.
This is a non-smoking home. Smokers are welcome to do so outside.
Continental breakfast will be served at 8am on weekdays and not before 8am weekends unless in unusual circumstances.
