They say that all roads lead to Rome, but I am sure that at least one of them leads to Berlin and to this flat right here! Close to Helmholtzplatz and situated in the heart of the old workers district in Berlin, this is the place to stay for a long weekend or a week away from home!
Check-in and check-out: I am flexible. Please let me know if you arrive super early or super late a few days in advance and I will be happy to accommodate a super early or crazy late check-in. Same goes for the check-out. Just ask me and we can find a solution that fits everyone :)
I can offer a comfy guest room in a ground floor apartment. The flat is situated in the heart of the area, with tons of restaurants, bars and cafes within walking distance. The flat offers a private garden which is perfect for outdoor breakfasts in the summer!
Tram lines and the U-Bahn station Eberswalder Str, the S+U-Bahn station of Schönhauser Allee and S-Prenzlauer Allee are within a short walking distance of the flat.
The apartment is a classic "Altbau" from around 1890 which was renovated in the mid 2000s.
The bedroom offers a spacious king-size bed with two mattresses (90cm each), extra long duvets (220cm) are provided, and the bedroom window is overlooking the quiet courtyard.
Bedding and towels will of course be provided for the guests, and Wifi, electricity, heating, water are included.
The 70m2 apartment offers a big living room and kitchen. The living room is equipped with a spacious sofa, flatscreen tv and a small stereo. Just let me know if you want to listen to some good music and we will hook you up to our jack-cable!
The kitchen features all the standard amenities as well as a microwave oven, but there is no dishwasher available.
The bathroom offers all the classic features such as a combined bathtub and shower, and a washing machine is also available in case one wants to do some laundry. Hair dryer, towels and soap etc will of course also be provided.
The quiet garden offers space to relax during the summer and to have a cigarette for the smokers.
My flat is LGBTQ-friendly as well!
You will be sharing the flat with me, as I am staying in the second bedroom, but I usually sleep in my partners flat nextdoor. My partner might also be here. He is a nice guy from Iceland who lives right next door and in the same apartment building, so I also spend quite a lot of my time over in his apartment.
Please be aware that, as my apartment has a garden, the neighbour's cats might walk inside the apartment every now and then.
Zugang für Gäste
I only rent out the one room, but you will od course have access to the amenities in the apartment when needed. Unfortunately the kitchen does not feature a dishwasher, but all the standard amenities are available, as well as a microwave in the kitchen and a hairdryer in the bathroom. Please make yourself feel at home. My flat is also your flat while you stay with me :)
The kitchen is very spacious and separated from the living room by a counter, which makes it the perfect space for social cooking evenings.
Please feel free to also use the garden when you feel like having an outdoor breakfast or just want to chill with a beer or a glass of wine in the afternoon or evening.
Interaktion mit Gästen
I enjoy meeting people from all over the world, getting to know new cultures. I can provide guests with maps of the city and enjoy giving information about the city. I'm always up for a drink in the evening, but I also respect every guests privacy.
Weitere wichtige Infos
Please be aware that parking is restricted in the area.
Free parking is available in certain areas just north of the S-Bahn Ring. I can also help you with the necessary info, just ask me, but be aware that you might have to walk 10-15 minutes from the parking spot or take the S-Bahn for a stop or two in order to get to my apartment.
It is also possible to get a parking permit for the area (street parking), and the permit costs about 10-15 Euros depending on the length of your stay (10,20 Euros for up to three days, 13 Euros for one week, 15 Euros for two weeks). I can arrange the permit for you, but it usually takes a few days to process (German bureaucracy) so if you need one, please let me know about a week in advance so that I can go to the transport office and get one for you :)
The garden is perfect for smoking.
Please be aware that the authorities crack down hard on illegal downloads etc, so please make sure that you dont download anything during your stay and make sure to have torrent clients, popcorntime etc disconnected before you arrive :)

Im a happy, laid-back recent uni graduate, 30 years old, who has a lot of hosting experience from that other hospitality website that starts with couch and ends with surfing. Im originally from Scandinavia, but have been living in Berlin for more than 7 years by now, and speak both German, Norwegian and English fluently.
Im a relatively easy person to be around, love having beers with friends, or watching a good documentary. I also love reading, and among my favourite books are East of Eden by Steinbeck, One Hundred Years of Solitude by Marquez and Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad.
My hobbies are cooking, baking, mixing mojitos with mint from my own garden, and going for long bike rides around the city. Ive been a vegetarian since I was 11, but dont mind if other people eat meat. It was a personal choice for me.
Im very interested in politics, which is why I decided to go back to studying even though I already have a degree in teaching and have worked as a teacher. At the moment Ive just graduated in pol sci and spend my time freelancing while trying to score that dream job :)
I very much enjoy welcoming people from all over the world into my home. Ive been lucky enough to travel a bit already and have met so many great people through other hospitality websites as well as through airbnb.
