Guests say “Wish we’d stayed longer!” “Comfiest bed ever !” The Still is a detached, beautifully renovated historical cottage one mile from Aberfeldy. A spotlessly clean and private space with easy self catering; an ideal base for rest and activities. Ten minute walk from a nice bar and restaurant, and the River Tay, Castle Menzies and acres of forest. Five minute drive to shops, many attractions, distillery, cafes, restaurants and large supermarket. 5-star host is v helpful but unobtrusive !

Die Unterkunft
Many years ago the Old Whisky Still produced whisky, legally or otherwise, for guests and locals. It was a ruin for decades before its renovation in 2018. The thick walls and stone work give it a cosy and traditional feel, but the open plan layout and vaulted ceiling lend a sense of space. Relax, take walks by the River Tay, Moness Falls or Weem Woods all right on your doorstep, then settle down by the wood burning stove in this unique space!

There is everything you need for a comfortable stay at the Still, and extras like a large telly with a newly installed dish and Freeview channels, a DVD player, DVDs and books. For Prime video and Netflix you can attach your laptop to the HDMI lead which is ready in the TV port to use. There’s a Nespresso coffee machine and a few pods, shower gel, soaps, and a basket of logs for the wood burning stove. There is a good selection of pots and pans , and essentials like tea, coffee, sugar and oil, salt and pepper. Ask Bec the host if you need anything!

Near Aberfeldy , Perthshire, Vereinigtes Königreich

Photos of this beautiful part of Scotland rarely do it justice! Aberfeldy is a thriving Highland town, happy to be opening up to visitors again. Aberfeldy / Weem are six miles from Loch Tay, and have a fantastic community spirit and national award-winning tourist attractions and businesses. These include Dewar's Distillery, bookshops and art galleries, great coffee shops, Castle visits, land rover safaris and boat trips. There's an Art Deco cinema, a community library and excellent sports centre, and much more! The area is famous for outdoor pursuits including canoeing and rafting, hillwalking and fishing, and sporting events take place nearly every year such as cycling and triathlons. The area is also a great favourite for walkers and artists. Guests always enthuse about their stay in this wonderful area, and often make return visits. This is a beautiful area in its own quiet valley, but also so central , in the heart of Scotland, and equidistant from Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Inverness, as well as Fort William on the west coast, St Andrews on the east.

Hi, I love living and hosting in this beautiful area, with its great community, spectacular scenery and fascinating history, it’s a wonderful place for locals and visitors! It’s an honour to host guests from all over, and my aim is to provide a clean, quiet and comfortable place to stay, paying attention to detail, and the individual requirements of each guest. I am pleased to commit to the enhanced cleaning protocol for guest safety and well-being, during our ongoing shared struggle with Covid 19, and so happy to be able to host once again. When I’m not cleaning or ironing, I love walking by the river Tay, and in the local forests, in all weathers!
