Pag is a Croatian island in the northern Adriatic Sea. It is the fifth-largest island of the Croatian coast, and the one with the longest coastline.
Just few kilometers from town of Zadar most important city of northern Dalmatia region, town of Pag is the largest town on Pag island, established in 15th century, preserving until these days many significant architectural monuments.Certainly, recommendation for all visitors is to visit the Lace Museum which presents unique examples of Pag's famous lace, which is also one of favorite tourist souvenirs.
Throughout its history, the economy of Pag has been connected to salt production, a traditional activity that has been practiced for more than a thousand years. While the earliest historical records of salt production on the island date to 999, it is believed salt was produced on Pag in Roman times. The origin of the town of Pag is connected with the exploitation of natural suitably shallow coves within the closed bay (the so-called “Valle di Pago”) for salt manufacturing.
The island of Pag is most famous for its production of Paški sir (cheese from Pag), a distinctive cheese made from the milk of the island's autochthonous breed of sheep.

We are situated in a quiet place. Do not be surprised if you hear sheep on the hill because Pag is known for its lamb.
The landscape of Pag Island reminds of the surface of the Moon and which is almost entirely covered in sea salt that bura wind brings in from the Velebit Channel – Pag Island. The simplest way to reach Pag is from Zadar, across the Pag bridge. You can also arrive by ferry from Prizna mainland port to Žigljen ferry port on Pag. We chose the first option. Southern part of the island is covered in high, dense rush and our ride across the island felt like riding through a jungle. When we managed to see through, we see stone wasteland devastated by strong bura from Velebit.
We look forward to your arrival.
