Climb the stairs from the street and enter our well lit, well landscaped garden and unlock the private entrance door to your little Berkeley hills get away. Connect to our wireless internet. Enjoy the morning sun as it bathes your private deck while you sit on a teak rocker and sip your coffee and admire the hundred foot tall redwood trees around you. Relax in a quiet but small bedroom, the marble tile and sky-lit bathroom and the little kitchenette. The house and grounds are smoke free. Your kitchenette has a small refrigerator with freezer, a microwave, single burner convection hot plate, a toaster and toaster oven, a grill, coffee makers, electric kettle, pots, pans, dishes, glasses, cups and utensils. It is appropriate for simple meals but too small for more than one guest. The kitchenette, like the bedroom and deck, is filled with the morning sunshine. The apartment shares a wall with the main house but we are easy going and respectful and sound transmission is minimal.

Interaktion mit Gästen
Our interaction with guests depends upon the circumstances. Some guests need time alone to concentrate on their academic pursuits. Others are here on holiday and would like a little advice regarding the area and we are happy to oblige. We don't intrude but we are friendly.

My wife and I like to ride our road bikes in the Berkeley hills on the weekends and work in the garden on warm weather days . We work full time but prefer play to work. I am an avid windsurfer. My wife is an avid non-windsurfer and prefers dance class at the local YMCA. We are sociable, healthy and active. We've traveled far and wide but always on a dime.
We are easy going hosts and had the good fortune of having guests from all over the United States and all over the world; from Chicago, Seattle and Texas to Italy, Argentina, Japan, Portugal, Spain, China and more. We love living in Berkeley because of the cross section of people it attracts from techies to cooks, retired travelers to international students and professors and people just looking to escape to a scenic spot with a forgiving climate and a diverse, Pacific rim attitude.
We look forward to meeting you.
