This lovely very recently renovated fully independent two-bedroomed duplex apartment forms part of an old building which has been used as a residence and also as an art gallery and art installation venue. It is rumoured that around 50 years ago, the building housed a high-class bordello.

Designed with style, the apartment has been carefully restored and is decorated with art pieces by various local and foreign artists.

This charming home’s design and conversion have been entrusted to a creative artist/designer. Certain parts of this duplex apartment, such as the very original spiral staircase 'railing' specially designed by this artist, make you feel like you are living in an art installation.

Situated on the fourth and fifth floors (with lift), the apartment features the building's old authentic patterned tiles and stone spiral staircase. The sun-drenched upper level gives the house a sophisticated and modern touch which blends harmoniously with the rest of the apartment. The duplex is embellished with three private terraces where you can sunbathe, read the newspapers in natural light or enjoy your morning coffee or evening wine. From the roof terrace, you can enjoy breathtaking sea and cityscape views.

The apartment has a kitchen-living-dining room and two separate double bedrooms. One of the bedrooms has an ensuite bathroom (with shower) and the other bedroom has a shower in the bedroom. There's also a wc and sink next to the kitchen/living/dining area. In the living room, there is also a double sofa bed which means that the apartment may accommodate 2 additional guests. On request, a baby cot may be provided.

The fully equipped kitchen features a built-in fridge-freezer, electric hob, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, electric kettle, pots, pans and kitchen utensils. The apartment has Satellite and Android TV, a DVD player, Wi-Fi, a washing machine and is fully air-conditioned (cooling/heating functions).

Clean linen and towels will be provided.

On request, we may provide you with Beach towels at no extra charge.

The building has a lift, which is not very common in Valletta.

This is one of the best neighbourhoods in Valletta. It is charming, photogenic and although only 2mins away from Valletta's main square, has a village feel. The quaint narrow streets, old buildings and imposing churches make this neighbourhood magical.

You're in a quaint street of Valletta and on foot you're:
- less than 1 min away from the national theatre;
- 2 mins away from the main shopping street and Valletta's main squares - Piazza Independenza and Piazza Regina;
- 7 mins away from the ferry to Sliema;
- 8 mins away from the unique St. John's Co-Cathedral, Renzo Piano's City Gate Project and open air theatre (old opera house site);
- 10 mins away from Valletta's rocky beaches;
- 12 mins away from Malta's central bus terminus. From there buses go to every corner of the island;
- 12 mins away from the superb view of the Grand Harbour from St. Barbara's Bastions and the Upper Barrakka gardens;
- 15 mins away from the sea-taxis to the Three cities.

Since you're in the historical centre of this "city built by gentlemen for gentlemen", you are surrounded by restaurants, cafés, bars, wine bars, museums, theaters, historical palaces and monuments, auberges, churches, forts, etc.

Walking around Valletta, which is one of the most concentrated historic areas in the world, you'll notice something interesting at every corner, be it the Maltese balconies, statues, niches, coat of arms, inscriptions, fountains, red British telephone boxes or vintage shop signs. Valletta (a UNESCO World Heritage City) is truly an open-air museum.

Malta boasts a diverse repertoire of exhibitions, festivals and feasts. Most of these events take place in Valletta (or La Valette,) a magnificent fortress city built by the Knights of Malta and named after the respected Grand Master of the Order of St. John, Jean Parisot de la Valette. Events taking place in Valletta (Citta' Umilissima) include the Valletta Baroque Festival, Notte Bianca, Malta Jazz Festival, Bridge Bar Jazz Sessions, Valletta International Visual Arts Festival, Valletta International Piano Festival, Malta Fireworks Festival, Malta Arts Festival, Science in the City, Middle Sea Race, various Wine Festivals, various 'festas' (honouring the parish patron saint) and Carnival. The atmosphere is also special during Christmas and Easter time.

The apartment is 12 mins (on foot) away from Malta's central bus terminus. From there buses go to every corner of the island.

- for check-in after 10pm a one-time extra fee of €10 is charged. If you will be arriving in Valletta after midnight, please advise us before making a booking request;
- The airconditioning is to be used in an Eco-Friendly manner. Kindly remember to switch it off before you leave the apartment and during the night (if nobody is sleeping in the living room);
- it is strictly forbidden to invite persons (other than those announced as guests) without asking us, even if it's only for tea, dinner Etc. The apartment is in a residential area and therefore noise is strictly forbidden since we refuse to have problems with our neighbours. We may keep the damage deposit in case of too much noise;
- Water and electricity are to be turned off when not being used. Water and electricity consumption will be covered up to 40 units per week (or pro rata) which constitutes normal consumption and which, with careful use, should be sufficient. Consumption in excess of this amount will be subject to a charge.
