I would give this place six stars if I could. I was fortunate enough to happen upon it after other travel plans fell through, and I'm so glad that happened! I will be back again and again to this lovely unique Airbnb accommodation w/its super clean beautiful rooms, comfortable bed, lovely kitchen that I could cook my own meals in, great linens and towels, comfortable casual homey feel neither too fancy nor run down – lovely extra touches – and three-acre country setting property. you're only a mile from town, yet on the property and feels totally rural. Amazing to have both. It's a jumping-off point to tons of amazing Gila wilderness hikes, both near and far, and a welcoming unusual communal "hostel" feeling where you get to mingle with other guests ( if there are any in the other two rooms) at the dining table yet can be secluded in the privacy of your own room if desired (I did a bit of both). The property is amazing – mountain views,,, comfortable chairs everywhere, birds and cicadas soothing you at all hours of the day— The house is set back off a slightly busy 2-lane road, but you never feel it because once you're in the space, you feel like you're in the country. Some of the nicest hikes are between eight and 20 minutes away, and Lora is an avid hiker and loves to make suggestions and share her favorites. Lora is a happy, welcoming, warm, gracious and unique host who is easy-going, communicative, interesting, and will give you as much space as you like – you can be chatty or quiet. She's very attentive to all your needs yet relaxed. She obviously loves having people at her home and it shows. The home is lovingly maintained with pride. She was super great about having me and my dog and I was so grateful. Will return again and again!
