Die Unterkunft

Floral street is a pedestrian-priority cobbled street. Lined by quirky designer shops (Paul Smith has his major outlet at the top of the street) it is a few yards from the busiest Underground station in London and yet it feels uncrowded and is not noisy. It is on the 3rd Floor served by elevator and furnished in smart contemporary style.
Spacious two-bedroom apartment with one and a half baths, separate living room & very well equipped kitchen including 3 types of coffee makers, a kettle, toaster, plenty of pots and pans etc. everything you will want for an 8 person dinner party.
You enter the hallway with walk-in cupboard to store your suitcases , etc. Off the hallway is a large dining and living room with polished wood floors throughout the flat. A formal dining table can seat up to six.
There are two sofas &, a flat screen TV and Wifi internet, digital radio, Sony music centre.
The Kitchen is large and has all the normal appliances i.e. microwave, dishwasher, washing machine & tumble dryer.
There are individually controlled radiators in both the 2 bedrooms and living (reception) room, hallway and bathroom, and the flat is well insulated (with double glass panes).
Both bedrooms are good-sized; the Master Bedroom has a firm Super King-size bed (ft double) and a large built in wardrobe. The Second Bedroom has a Standard Double bed (135 x 210cm / 4½ ft double) with a Tempur memory mattress & Montana Wardrobe. There is also a travel cot for your baby’s stay, a Platinum raised support single inflatable Aerobed, a hair dryer, iron and ironing board.

We will meet and check you in, check you out when you leave and we are at the end of the phone if anything goes wrong during your stay. (While we can't promise that the dishwasher wont break down we do promise to get it fixed as soon as we can get a plumber in to fix it if it does break down!)
If your flight is delayed or cancelled we will do our best to accommodate you.

You can walk to the British Museum, Covent Garden, SoHo, Leister Square, Trafalgar Square. the National Gallery & The National Portrait Gallery & the Royal Opera/Ballet is 150 yards away. This is heart of London's Theatre district.

Verkehrsmittel

Floral St is accessible by car/taxi & you can park and load/unload just opposite the entrance to the apt building. That said you also can't stay long - the street is most definitely not a thru-way! You do NOT need a hire car if staying in the apt and given congestion charging and car parking fees it is really uneconomic to do so. If arriving at Heathrow Airport you have a choice of the Express train to Paddington station and a taxi to the apt (40mins) or the underground train directly from Heathrow to the Covent Garden Station, which is a very short walk to the flat. Tube from Covent Garden to Heathrow. Efficient, around 1½ hours for the journey and less than half the price of a road transfer but not too luggage friendly.
Heathrow Express from Paddington. Journey time 15mins. Train approximately every 15mins.
Taxi to Paddington station around 25 mins (possibility of delays in traffic)
To and from Gatwick Airport: Taxi to Victoria Station – Gatwick Express train leaves every 30 mins and takes approx. 1 hr. Total time to flat 2 hours
To and from Luton Airport: Taxi to St Pancras then train to Luton Airport Parkway then shuttle bus. Allow 2 hrs minimum
To and from Stansted Airport: Taxi to Liverpool Street Station then train to Stansted Airport. Allow 2 hrs minimum

This is an absolutely NO SMOKING apt. Any damage to fixtures and fittings etc will be charged for. It feels like you have no neighbours but you do - please respect normal noise hours and levels.
Conditions of Reservation
1. Apartment will normally be ready for use from 3 p.m. on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 11:00 a.m. on the day of departure.
2. Normal cleaning and a weekly change of linen and towels is included in the rental payable but we reserve the right to charge extra in the case of excessive usage.
General Terms & Conditions:
The only additional fee or charge is if you use the telephone in the flat & any telephone units: to be advised at the end of your stay at a cost GBP £0.08p per unit. We pay for the basic phone service & internet in each flat via British Telecom, but at the end of your stay, if you have charges over GBP £5 we will ask you to pay for phone-calls-otherwise no.
You may wish to use your personal credit phone card for international calls and all calls (including local calls) are charged for by British Telecom.
This is not an ordinary rental we pride ourselves in offering you the help and back up of over 20 years experience.
We regard you as our guest and ask that you look after the flat/apartment as if you were the guest in someone’s private home. We hope you will find it a delightful way to stay in London. Excellent location just off covent garden. You dont need to go on a hop on and off bus tour when the major sights are so close. This was a great location for our family of four, the big lounge and dining area and full kitchen making this a great stay. The pre visit information and detail at our check in were excellent, showing this flat is managed by a very professional team. We would love to be back in due course.

Great apartment. Very clean with plenty of space for two couples. Centrally located in a busy area, but on a quiet street. Easy access to theaters and every else that makes London a wonderful place to visit. Would stay again.
