Christina, I'm sorry your stay was not as expected. To clarify/rebut your comments: 1. The home is fully stocked. There is a closet full of toilet paper, paper towels, kleenex, shampoo, soap. Dish and Dishwasher soap, laundry soap, cleaning supplies. The kitchen has all spices, oils, condiments, foil, etc. There are also 8 sets of towels and 6 beach towels and 2 sets of linens for each bed. I'm not sure what more you were expecting. 2. Since your child has the allergy, it seems reasonable that you would inquire. Many guests ask about suitability for their particular needs, it would be to your benefit to do so in the future. A 10 pound dachshund does reside in the home. There are no rugs or carpets in the house. It is not unreasonable to expect fabric sofa and chairs. Again, your child has the severe allergy, best to inquire on her behalf. 3. We do not have air conditioning, very few places at the beach do. It is humid at the beach, there are times that it is more humid than normal. Most residents leave their windows open for this reason. 4. There is no AC condenser on the property. Our building does not have AC, nor does the apartment complex next door. It would not be located on our property if they did. 5. You were visiting on 4th of July week. It is the busiest time of the year in Del Mar, especially our location of being so close to the beach. Camino del Mar is a busy street. I can not control when the City of Del Mar does street work, nor are we notified in advance of such work. While I was sympathetic to the inconvenience, your anger and yelling made it difficult to convey. I do care that my guests have a good experience and try to be accommodating to the best of my ability. 6. You did not mention that you were bringing bikes. Again, communication would have been helpful. There is a LOCKED bike shed, I don't know why this was not utilized for your storage needs. The combination is in the Welcome Letter. 7. I mentioned to you when you booked the condo that I thought it might be to small for your family. You assured me that you were fine, your kids did not all need beds. Had I known you intended to store bikes in the home, I would have explained that my condo would not meet your needs. I suspect this is how the dresser must have been damaged. Adequate communication would have avoided this situation. 8. The beach locker did have a pop up tent inside that I forgot to remove, I apologize. The wagon is the "size of a mack truck" so that it can be pulled on the sand. The beach chairs would have been easy to access as they hang on the wall. There were beach towels provided in the house. 9. So that other guests can have a clear understanding: The condo is on a busy street, it will be noisy in the summertime. We do not have air conditioning, but we do have ocean breeze, a dog resides on the property in the off season, I can't control the noise or the weather. I've been renting my condo for 16 years with not one negative review and have many, many guest who have returned year after year. I am sorry Christina stay in my condo was not enjoyable.
