Small, but comfortable, shady, cool, quiet end apartment looks out on a small, delightful tropical garden. Evening breezes bring in the scent of jasmine, sunny mornings the buzz of hummingbirds, and an amazing variety of bird sounds. Ten minutes to the beach and fifteen to the party area. The neighborhood is generally quiet, friendly, and very safe. On the edge of a green area of town, it gets a lot of flying and climbing wildlife. If you like to stay out late, this probably isn't the best.
I need guests to behave with respect and understanding but also to be willing to ask questions. Please go through the listing carefully before booking to ensure it is going to be what you need, and before you arrive to get details, like instructions to the place, wi'fi password, etc. Please, be specific about what I can do to make your experience more enjoyable. If it is within my means, I love to oblige. If you bring pets, please only small ones, bring their own bedding, and clean up after them. The cleaning fee is not large and only covers normal usage. This is a quiet neighborhood of mostly locals who work all day, so please keep this in mind. Relax!
(I allow Airbnb to set prices automatically depending on supply and demand. Please keep this in mind if you extend your stay.)

I love plants and animals and children and Guatemala. I was born here and would not live elsewhere. I enjoy helping people be comfortable and enjoy this incredible country that has so much to offer. I am the daughter of a locally born tour guide who knew Guatemala probably better than anyone of his time, so I have lots of information for those who want to come and taste a bit of adventurous paradise. My motto: live and learn, and enjoy both.
For many years I have been informing Guatemalans of the benefits of the trial by jury. With the publishing of a translation of Lysander Spooner's classic work on that topic into Spanish, I am stepping up my efforts, in order to arrive sooner at the stage of promoting its formal institution. My partnership with Luz is part of that effort, in order to be able to dedicate more time to the endeavor. I truly believe that the institution of trial by an impartial jury of one's peers can lead to a more peaceful world by making sure that the weakest are protected from the more savage impulses that human beings tend to have. As human beings feel safer from aggression, they will also treat each other and our planet better.
