I am an artist/crafter, retired from engineering. I sell my work and I teach a few painting and collage workshops a year. My husband (Rich) is a civil engineer, specializing in water, who works hard for an environmental consulting firm. His down-time is very important to us and we both love to travel. We loathe hotel chains and feel the most comfortable in B&B's or older homes. We also have a vacation rental in Coastal Georgia and like to spend alot of time (esp. winters) there. As we are both from the north, the South has proven a fascinating adventure and we have made life-long friends there in a very short time. We love good food (Rich is the cook!) and try to seek out great restaurants along our way. We love living on Cape Cod, it's beaches and our 1850's antique house but try to get-away for business and pleasure often. We try to bring our dogs (when possible). They are family.
We have often camped and use to backpack (younger days). We have learned that we can live without a lot of things but that a comfy bed, nice wine and hot coffee are underrated.
