We have a cosy room with breakfast included in a very convenient and beautiful location for a great visit to sunny seaside Whitstable. The room is in our home - not a commercial holiday let!
Charming room at the top of our big old Victorian (slightly quirky!) house on West Cliff with a view over the golf course to the sea, pure cotton bedding and varnished foorboards.
Perfect for a trip to Whitstable or Canterbury - our road is within short walking distance of everything you need for a great seaside break, but nice and quiet. We are 10 minutes from the station, 5 minutes from the beach and 1 minute from the High Street and bus stops for Canterbury and Herne Bay.
Share our bathrooms and big kitchen-dining room and enjoy our beautiful big forest garden. The room has pure cotton sheets and a lovely view over the golf course to the sea. We provide a light breakfast with cafetiere coffee, choice of teas, fresh bread, real butter and organic eggs.
Whitstable is famous for its working harbour, fresh oysters, restaurants, pubs with live music, cafes, independent shops, art galleries and various festivals throughout the summer. The sea is safe for swimming and surprisingly warm when the tide is high.
Independent restaurants in Whitstable are popular and will need to be booked in advance at weekends - check out Samphire, The Olde Sportsman, Salt Marsh at The Duke of Cumberland (our favourite) , Alimo, The Oxford, Jo Jo's, Pearson's, Birdie's and the Crab and Winkle (not possible to include links). Zizi and Prezzo also get busy. We can point you towards good pubs and fish and chips. Contact us to find out about local events.
Bus stops and railway station are both close to the house. Parking is free on West Cliff, but there might not be a space outside the house. There is space for bicycles - let us know if you are bringing bikes.
This is a re-listing for 2017.

We are really enjoying being Airbnb hosts. The guests that come our way are all so interesting and friendly, with great chats over breakfast about work and life. We love sharing our knowledge of the town and district, having lived in Whitstable for 26 years and brought up 3 sons here. We both grew up in London.
We set up Whitstable Farmers Market and do various local music and community events and projects. We own and manage our own little woodland, grow our own veg and listen to a wide range of music from around the world.
We enjoy traveling, especially to places good for hiking. We go to France most summers, being so close to Dover.
