We are Familia Jhong-Chung! A local family with a passion for hosting and welcoming people to our hometown. Our family embodies Peru's welcoming spirit and multicultural roots. Like many Peruvians, part of our heritage comes from late 1800s and early 1900s immigrants from Guangdong province in China that settled in many parts of Peru. We love to give every one of our guests a home-away-from-home experience while sharing our Peruvian roots, culture, food, and traditions.
Our guests receive free breakfast every day as well as free pick-up from the bus station. We can also help you arrange tours to Ica's most famous vineyards(Taste the regions' best wines with a experienced somelier), Islas Ballestas(extreme sports), the Nazca lines, Huacachina(buggies and sandboarding) and desert camping.
...did we already mention that we are AirBnB Superhosts ? :)
Luis: My family roots come from Ocucaje, a desert in the Ica region, full of fossils that tell silent stories of what once was a pre-historic ocean. I am an avid pisco enthusiast. My favorite type of pisco is "acholado", and I enjoy sharing a few drinks over good conversation. I went to Veterinary School because I'm very passionate about animals. When I was younger, I sold eggs in Ica at an open air market from my family's hen and quail farm. If you see our listing pictures, you will see that we take care of two dogs, a cat, a turtle, and a parrot. I adopted all of them!
Victoria: My family roots are in Palpa, a valley in the middle of the desert between Ica and Nazca. I studied Hospitality Administration and I love meeting people from all over the world. I have traveled extensively around Peru and I know well all the history of the Ica region. My passion is cooking and teaching people how to cook. I love Chifa, the local fusion of Cantonese and Peruvian cuisine. If you would like to try delicious homemade Peruvian food, you have come to the right place. Our food is made with organic, fresh, and great quality ingredients. I enjoy exchanging recipes, reading, and taking siestas in the afternoon.
Juan: I was born in Ica, a lovely town in the southern coast of Peru. The Ica region is a beautiful desert area along the Pacific Ocean. It is one of the most arid areas in the whole world. You can find a beautiful oasis among tall sand dunes, beaches, wineries, plantations, and sun all year round. I'm a software engineer and I currently live and work in Boston. I'm very interested in technology and its application in the developing world as tools for equality and opportunity. I enjoy mindfulness meditation, reading fiction, learning languages, and walking. I'm very curious about the world and I'm very thankful to have the opportunity to meet fantastic people like you from all over the world through AirBnB.
