Logan Blvd beauty located 1 block from train & major buses in heart of thriving neighborhood Logan Square w/ the best bars & restaurants outside your door. Enjoy your own large bthrm w/clawfoot tub & cozy rooms w/library reading nook. Fits 2-4.
Our home was built in the early 20th century on historic Logan Boulevard. The original wood is still untouched in most of the apartment, with gorgeous classically Chicago beams separating the two spacious living rooms. The apartment is south facing, so it gets loads of sunshine. Although the collection is in process and much of the work is not shown in our photos, we proudly hang art in our home by Chicago artists, and much of our goods, from soaps to blankets to mugs, have been made by Chicago makers.
Our big kitchen has just been updated with butcher block counters, providing tons of space for cooking prep. The unusually large bathrooms allow for room to spread out, and the clawfoot bathtub is our favorite spot in the whole house.
We have two super comfortable beds with down comforters: The East Room (pink/gray) has large closet space & tons of sunlight, and the Library has its own book nook made of local reclaimed wood built by our good friend as well as a desk & deep closet.
The dining room is the jewel of the apartment, with original arts & crafts style beams in the ceiling, a wooden hutch & bar (BYOB, though!) with original stain glass, and a dining room table that can seat up to 10 with the removable leaf.
Here in the wintertime? Cozy up to the fireplace (only when hosts home), grab a book from the library, put on a record or sit down to the piano. Summertime? We have air conditioning units for each bedroom and ceiling fans in both living rooms. We also have a lovely backyard and garden for you to relax in when the weather is warm.
You may have noticed a super cute furry friend in the kitchen - that's Demi, our playful and sweet Husky! We do ask that you understand that we do our best controlling her dog fur. We have lint rollers available. She is a super sweet, completely non-threatening, playful pup. Dog lovers, you're really in for a treat. :)

Hi there! I'm Kristen, longtime Chicago resident and 10th generation Vermonter. In Chicago, I run an event & cultural production studio called No Small Plans Productions, "partying with a purpose" with programs that create platforms for women, LGBTQ people and people of color in creative roles. Some of my partners and clients have included the Ace Hotel, the Museum of Contemporary Art, and Empire FOX. I run a event/coworking studio that also prioritizes the above mentioned communities in Chicago's Humboldt Park neighborhood called REUNION.
At home in Chicago when not hustling the production life, I hang with my husky/shepherd Demi, host impromptu parties at my house, and dress up and hit the town to support local businesses, art & creative production as much as possible. When traveling, I like to explore and learn from the local culture, experience nature, make new friends, catch a show at a great venue, find the best thrift stores/boutiques and EAT, of course!
I love building community in Chicago and beyond, both in my work, pleasure, and travel pursuits. Whether hosting in my home or visiting abroad, I do not get down with negativity, or racism/sexism/classism/ageism/homophobia/transphobia or anything that promotes harming or hating others I live to love and love to live & look forward to sharing this mantra with you.
If you're visiting Chicago, I operate on trust and will go the extra mile to help you enjoy our great city of Chicago. As a host I can be low key or provide the best-kept secrets to Chicago - just ask!
