This is the warmest room in my house with only a small outside wall and a very large sunny window overlooking the garden. It has a window box with flowers and looks towards the river Tay. There's also a wood burning stove and wood to burn. You can drive into my garden to unload and there's lots of free parking one minutes walk from my house
My beautiful house dates from 1857 and is 5 minutes walk from the centre of town in a quiet conservation area. The room itself is on the first floor and is a spacious A double with a 4 foot bed, a desk, wardrobe and chest of drawers . The price includes towels and bedding and broadband, fuel and local taxes. The room also has a lovely view from the large bay window and free car parking is available one minutes walk from the house. You will have access to my 24m2 , well equipped kitchen/living room (24 square metres) and the bathroom has a bath and shower.
The Playwright Restaurant, is, in my opinion, the best restaurant in Dundee. The Dundee Contemporary Arts Centre is a short walk away, which has exhibitions from international artists, courses and workshops, and has a cinema which shows the best foreign films, and some great classics as well. The two universities are within walking distance too.
My home is a great place for you to start exploring Dundee!

My beautiful house dates from 1857 and is an 8 minutes walk from the centre of town, up a hill , in a quiet conservation area. This not a formal bed and breakfast or a cheaper version of a hotel. People who are looking for that will be disappointed. What I offer is informal accommodation in my own home where I encourage people from all cultures to get to know each other. Tea, coffee, orange juice, bread, milk and cereal are left on the table so short term guests can get up whenever they like and help themselves to breakfast. I am resident in one or other of my two flats (they are in the same building one above the other) and I move between the two flats every day. Some of the reviews actually suggest this is hostel type accommodation and I'm happy with that description as it suggests the kind of informality I encourage. Many of my guests have stayed in touch with me after leaving and return year on year and those who feel at home in my accommodation spend time chatting and mixing with other guests and often stay in touch with other guests when they leave. I enjoy watching this exchange.
I think the most important thing in life is to never say anything to another person that could not stand as the very last thing you ever said to that person and that friendship is the most important thing in life.
