Huge old farm, entirely renewed, in the heart of Ardèche, in a calm and peaceful country. Wonderful view over a nice valley, huge rooms, 14 sleepings, terrace, interior courtyard , many living rooms, upright piano, 2 wood stoves, 1 wood furnace, ...
The farm is at least 2 centuries old. But we enjoy it from 2001, only! The living space of the farm is more than (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) sq ft). It includes a large room ((PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) sq ft) kitchen-dining room-living room with a fantastic view, 7 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and an outdoor shower, a music room with an upright piano (Yamaha), a backyard, a playroom. 3 bedrooms are equipped with a queen size bed. 1 with a queen size bed a 3 simple beds. 1 with a queen size bed and a 55 inch bed. 1 with 2 simple beds. 1 with a 50 inch bed and a simple bed. The beds are good, mostly recent. All rooms can be perfectly dark thanks to shutters or curtains.
In the common rooms, the floor is casting resin (very confortable underfoot and easy to maintain) and the floor in the bedrooms is a parquet. No carpet at all!
In the courtyard, an open room hosts an authentic wood furnace for bread, pizzas, meat... There is also an outdoor local stone BBQ, two indoor wood stoves and a transportable steel BBQ.
The living part of the house stands upon (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) sq ft) of vaulted cellars. There is also a huge barn ((PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) sq ft) and a (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) sq ft) cowshed. Both are beautiful but not livable (yet!)...
As the house is located in a deep French country, there are some consequences :
- Internet is not the fastest ever! The house is equipped with 3 WiFi terminals to have a signal almost everywhere but the bandwidth is "rustic". We can work, send and receive mails, surf, even Netflix and FaceTime, but data transfers are a bit long...
- There is no TV set. We are in a valley where the signal is very bad, and we never watch TV anyway...
- The water is provided by a spring pouring into a tank up behind the house. It is drinkable and you may boil it for your tea... For cold drinks, if your tummy is a little sensitive, may we suggest you drink the bottled spring water sold at the grocery store Super U. It's very good and inexpensive.

We are reachable by mail, telephone and SMS wherever we are. Our neighbors, who live all year long 1000 feet away, have a pretty good knowledge of the house and can be reached 7 days a week on their mobile phones.

Here, the weather is not as hot as it is in Provence for instance. More, the house is at an altitude of 600 meters (2000 feet) and the stone walls are very very thick!, Normally, the house stays cool and you will probably need a light blanket at night... We love that! And no mosquitoes !
One last detail : Our neighbors own 2 very nice and friendly dogs. If you welcome them, they will instantly become companions for your walks and they will consider as a very serious job to guard the house. If you want to get rid of them, don't hesitate to ask the neighbors to keep them. No big deal! We cannot promise they won't come sometimes to check if we've arrived...
The house is renewed but rustic, on purpose. Nothing is really fragile (except for the piano, the vinyle turntable and the kitchen wooden workplans and tables, but you know, mother nature, for sure, needs to be respected!
