Our lovely spa home is located in the rural heart of the Highlands & has 3 double bedrooms + 1 single bed with an optional pull-out floor bed underneath, + 1 shower room and 1 bathroom. We offer Self-catering for a maximum of 8 guests or B&B (see our other listings).
As self-catering guests you will have full use of the well equipped kitchen, dining room, conservatory, living room and outdoor terrace overlooking the stream.

Katie and I own a stunning, luxurious Guest House / Bed and Breakfast or Self Catering cottage in the rural heart of the North West Scottish Highlands.
We invite you to stay for a minimum of 3 nights or longer in on a self-catering break for up to eight guests. Please see below for the room configurations.
We have a lovely home in an idyllic location. Our cottage is at the top of the valley of Inverailort (Lochailort). We are surrounded by mountains and have a lovely stream flowing past at the bottom of our garden.
The sea is just a short 10 minute walk away (2 minute drive) and geographically - we are extremely well placed for day excursions being located at the three-way intersection which offers you easy access to Fort William, Mallaig, Roshven / Glenuig, Kinlochmoidart, Acharachle, Ardnamurchan, Arisaig, Glencoe, Loch Lomond, Inverness, Loch Ness, Skye, and the Outer Isles. Each journey being full of the hidden gems of Scottish beauty and the most beautiful scenery.
The ‘Harry Potter’ Jacobite steam train literally passes our home four times a day during the summer months and is an amazing sight when viewed from just a few metres away.
There is so much to do in the area - aside from sightseeing, why not take a boat trip to the amazing Knoydart or the outer Islands of Rhum, Canna, Muck, Skye,and Eigg?
Alternately you can hire our kayaks in two hour time slots for some local freshwater loch exploration (sea water also possible - ask for details).
We now also have five bikes that can be rented for the day or half day if you prefer to stay local and get some exercise!.
Walk along the beautiful 'silver sands' at Morar or play a nine-hole round of golf at Traigh - quite possibly one of the most stunning golf settings in Scotland.
Take a day trip on the Jacobite Steam train from Fort William to Mallaig and experience the Harry Potter viaduct at Glenfinnan and some of the most spectacular scenery in the world.
If you like hiking or hill walking there can be no better place to get out and about - our local mountains and well trodden trails offer some spectacular scenery - with beauty unfolding before your eyes with every step you take. Ask about some of the less well journeyed local hikes that provide some beautiful hidden secrets..!
Our house has four letting bedrooms - each is very tastefully renovated in French Renaissance style with traditional period furniture and every care has been taken to ensure your maximum comfort.
We have three luxurious double bedrooms each with their own wash hand basins, plus one very elegant twin (pull out trundle bed) / single room.
We have a newly refurbished shower room in a modern / contemporary style, and a newly refurbished bathroom in a ‘traditional period finish’ with a modern twist!
The house is clad in half-round logs and is finished in a 'rustic Scandinavian cabin effect, with surrounding decking and a decked terrace overlooking the burn, (which is also accessed from the French doors in the living room and is a beautiful place to enjoy afternoon tea on a nice sunny day).
We have an adjacent 'spa' cabin at the end of the property which houses a six-seat Jacuzzi hot tub and 6-8 seat sauna – an ideal way to relax after a hard day in the Highlands! There is a cold ‘douche’ style shower located in between the two. There is an additional charge for the use of this facility in order to help towards the upkeep, energy and maintenance costs, plus laundering of the spa towels / spa robes etc.
Well behaved / trained pets are welcome but unfortunately can not permitted inside the house or bedrooms for hygiene and sanitary purposes. Outbuildings are available if required.
We have a strict no-smoking policy please anywhere inside the house. Smokers are very welcome to make use of our outdoor work shed for smoking if the weather is inclement.
All self - catering guests are welcome to make use of the kitchen and dining room, conservatory, , bathroom or shower room plus very comfortable living room with large 8-seater sofa and multi-fuel stove / fire.
The kitchen is well equipped with fridge, freezer space, ample cupboards, quality knife set, double sink, juicer, food mixer / blender, six burner range cooker with double ovens and grill, a washing machine (drier is shared with the neighbour and can be used for a small additional fee), caftiere's and all the other ancilliary things you would expect from a fully furnished kitchen!
Our Free-view television with a good quality surround sound system is available for your use, plus are a large number of DVD'S and music C.D's. In addition there are numerous books, travel guides, maps and games for guests to take advantage of if desired.
We have complimentary (slow!!) wireless broadband Internet available for those who need to keep in touch with the 21st century..!
We own two Springer Spaniel / Labrador dogs (Pixie and Trixie) that keep a low profile and who are well trained, know their place and not the sort to be jumping all over people, but love to be petted and taken for long walks!! They are not sleeping in the property but an adjacent work-shed.
Subject to availability, we can offer you fresh organic eggs for breakfast from our own chickens, plus seasonal vegetables grown in our poly-tunnel and vegetable plot throughout the summer season.
Two and three course dinner menus are available for those who might prefer to eat in. We use the freshest ingredients (our own where possible and if not - sourced locally as much as we can). We will try and remember to send you the menu of the week as close to your arrival as we can. Please let us know as soon as possible if you are interested in having any dinners with us as we are 27 miles from the nearest shops and therefore need to plan in advance.
Finally - a brief insight into our background so you can be assured we have some depth of experience to take care of you.............(URL HIDDEN)I, (Gary), have spent more than 25 years in the Catering Industry - providing all aspects of catering up to and including for various members of the Royal Family. In addition - I have spent around 15 years renovating property for high profile clients in London, France and Australia.
My wife Katie is from Poland and has a Masters Degree in Business Administration and has previously spent over five years managing our Property Rentals portfolio in London. She is also an excellent cook! We married in August 2010 and following our wedding we decided to re-locate back to my homeland where I grew up as a child and begin a new chapter of our lives together.
Katie gave birth to our beautiful daughter Maia on 25th February 2012. She is the most adorable, delightful young girl and sure to melt your heart :-) Our second child is Eoin (pronounced Owen) - born in February 2015. He is very cute too! Baby number three is due in October 2017 :-)
We love to take care of new friends and look forward to meeting you here one day.

All areas of the ground floor excluding our private fridge ; freezer and the utility room. Guests PLEASE NOTE that we live discreetly upstairs on the property and share a common entry / access point and will need to pass through the property from time to time. Whilst this does not suit everybody we can assure you of our discretion and that we work hard to minimise our presence during your stay.

Strictly no smoking anywhere inside the house please and we respectfully request all guests to remove their boots or shoes at the front porch and use our complimentary slippers throughout their stay. Our aim is to preserve the luxury bedroom carpets and wood flooring throughout for as long as possible for everyone to enjoy. We are pet friendly but dogs are not permitted inside the property as we may have guests that have allergies etc. We can provide a dog cage for our work-shed if required or if friendly with our dogs - can stay together in the same shed. Please ask if you require any more information.

Katie and I have left the city life behind us in 2010 to pursue a more relaxed and calm lifestyle here in rural Scotland where I grew up.
It has been a total change for us after living for 7 years together in a cramped attic room in North London. Although we sometimes miss the hustle and bustle a big city brings, there is simply nothing that compensates more than when we look out of our windows and see the beautiful scenery here.
The mountains are majestic and powerful. The air is clean and on a clear night the skies are heavenly! The water is pure and organic - as it should be...
We love to travel and have seen a lot of the world, but equally - we love to be hosts and pride ourselves on being very attentive to our guests needs.
