Adorable place! The historic log cabin was unique and way more interesting than staying at a hotel. It was a very quaint cottage (big enough for 2 people, maybe 3) but it was perfect for my husband, myself, and our dog. The place was clean and had a very helpful binder filled with activities nearby. There was a very convenient fenced in area within walking distance for our dog to run around. The place was quiet and seemed very safe. It was only about a 10 minute drive to downtown Asheville and 15 min to the Biltmore Estate. We would definitely stay again!

This was at least my fourth time staying here. As usual, everything was awesome! Can't beat the location, atmosphere, and price!

The cabin was perfect for our one night stay and was even better for our dog! There is plenty of room to walk him and a dog park for him to be off leash! The cabin was clean and we had everything we needed!

This cabin presents as quaint (read rustic) as it is advertised. It is in a convenient location and close to direct routes to Biltmore and parks for hiking. This cabin would be best as just a double ( two guests) as it is too small for much more. The kitchen has all you will need for making simple meals with a microwave and coffee pot. Check in was very simple and the staff were extremely helpful. The bathroom is from the late fifties so tight so plan accordingly.

We just got back from our labor day weekend trip to Asheville. Cleanliness: This cabin was what we expected for an 88 year old building. However, it is not a 5-star place, so if you are extremely picky about your cleanliness, I would suggest you go to a hotel downtown. I was satisfied with how clean the place was, but under the beds were extremely dirty and our dog kept going under the beds and tracking all that dirt and dust around the cabin with him, so that was my only complaint about cleanliness. Location: We thought the location was excellent. It took us 10 minutes to get downtown and 15 minutes to get to the Biltmore. There are a few parks (dog friendly) within a 10 minute drive, and grocery stores/pharmacies/gas stations all within 5 minutes. We took 2 ubers downtown and they ranged between $10-$12 during non-peak times. This particular cabin is closest to the road, but seemed to have the more "yard space" than the others. Character: The highlight for us was the character of the cabins and the history behind them. It was pretty neat to think that people stayed in these cabins in the 1930's. Other: We loved sitting out on the porch and we tied our dog up to the beams and rocked in the rocking chairs. The only thing I would warn people is that there is no door between the bedroom and the kitchen. I wake up much earlier than my husband so it was a little hard to stay quiet while he slept in, but we made do. The bathroom is also tiny and the shower is small and dark (the whole bathroom is built off the back of the cabin so I'm sure they made do with what they could), but it was fine for the 2 of us. We packed breakfast and lunch items since the cabin has a microwave, toaster, fridge, and coffee maker. There is also a fenced in area for dogs in the back of the complex. We actually never even talked to housekeeping or visited the office after check in because we never had any issues, so it felt like a pretty private stay. The overall value of the place is definitely worth it, and we greatly enjoyed our stay.

$172/night is very steep for this one. The mattress is sinking badly in the middle and the comforter and smelled like mildew, not like Tide. The maid knocked an hour before checkout and reeked of cigarettes. (Just wait another hour!) The knobs on sinks and shower are crusty. The floor is sloped. I wouldn't stay here again.

The cabin was cute and historic as advertised. Best part was check in and out was simple. Even after hours they leave a key at the office for you and you just drop it off in the morning. Also, any questions I had were answered quickly.
