This listing's identifying title is "3 BR/2 Bath Guesthouse with city views" therefore, guests should have known the property was a guest house. Furthermore, we instructed that Meghna come up the driveway, where she would be met with keys etc. Because there were 3 or 4 cars and over a dozen people at check-in, our guest said she had missed that message in all the commotion. Unfortunately, she walked up to the main house, over a newly sealed large patio (requiring that the work be redone the next day, to eliminate footprints on the mosaic and slate surfaces).
As for the painters, we try to keep the property in top maintenance. Part of this includes gardeners, painters and general handymen on site, periodically, as needed. Because of our long, late winter, painting/sealing that should have been finished in May to early June, got postponed several times, due to inclement weather. That said, we seriously apologize to our guests for the way contractors finished the job that day. We had no idea they were working on window surrounds. This is totally unacceptable and we will bring the matter to attention of the company's general manager. I wish you told us about this, as soon as it happened; because we would have immediately been on the phone to stop it. Our guests' security and privacy have always been paramount! We try never to bother our guests. Our sincere apologies!
