The apartment is a short walk to Vanderbilt Ave and a short walk to Franklin Ave. There are vintage shops, nice cocktail bars, the best ramen in the city, a great ice-cream shop, and overall a nice and easy, but lively vibe.

The apartment has a juicer, a french press, the kitchen is nice for cooking, and there's a radio atop the fridge for iPod listening, or NPR, or local radio. Feel free to message me with any questions.

Keep it clean, no partying please. And please remove shoes in the apartment. A drink or two with a couple friends is cool but nothing big, and nothing loud. Just treat the apartment with respect, and enjoy yourself.

Jonny was incredibly helpful. My travel was kind of last minute and I ended up getting in at 4:30am the morning of my check in. While the place wasn't quite ready yet he let me swing by and drop my bags off and take a shower. It made all the difference in the world! The place was exactly as described and even cozier than expected. I wish I had a book collection like his!! Jonny checked in every couple of days to make sure everything was going well. Great experience overall.

I didn't get to personally meet Jonny but he was a cool guy who was attentive, flexible, and responded in a timely manner. He had a system worked out for me to access the apartment and even suggested to touch base prior by phone to let me know more info (aka he let me know his living room photos weren't updated as he made changes for the better by getting a new couch and some shelving which really tied the place together, no problem at all). His home was orderly, artsy, and breathable-- a great retreat coming back to it after the hustle of Manhattan/subway. The neighborhood is quaint, some great bites and coffee a block away, and also quiet at night. Brooklyn Museum and Prospect Park is about 5-7 blocks away which was awesome. There are many great things to do/eat in Brooklyn and this spot was pretty central to all the surrounding neighborhoods.

We had a fantastic stay at Johnny's apartment! We were his first airbnb guests and everything was just perfect! The apartment is spacious, light, clean and has a great kitchen (which we actually didn't use much, but which is nice for people who like cooking). The location is very convenient near all major subway lines. It's very easy to go to manhattan and it only takes about 30 min. Johnny is a wonderful host! He immediately replies when you have a question and he solves all your problems right away. If we ever wanna rent an apartment in NYC again, I hope this one will be available! Thanks Johnny for letting us stay in your wonderful place!

I've lived in Brooklyn for twelve years, I'm a writer, teacher, and set-builder. As much as I like it here, I'd rather be on a beach in Central America!
