I'm really sorry your experience at my home wasn't entirely positive, but I don't think your assessment was entirely fair. A few things I should point out to viewers reading his review:
1) My #1 priority is guests feeling comfortable. I have an extremely easy-going and open communication policy. I stressed that JC should feel at home and if he had any problems, he could literally contact me at any time. He didn't communicate any issues to me at all while he stayed with me though, so I'm surprised to read about some of his issues. If he wasn't happy with something, he could've simply said something and I guarantee you I would've done everything in my power to make sure he felt comfortable.
2) Like I said in my review, I was under the impression he had very high expectations for cleanliness and high expectations in general. My current tenant, David, and I do our best to regularly clean the washroom. I didn't personally think there was an issue with the washroom, but if JC had an issue, he could've definitely communicated that and I would've gladly done my best to have it re-cleaned or fix whatever issue he had.
3) I have various rooms/beds rented out at any given time, so if I only have a twin bed available for a guest (as opposed to a double/queen sized bed), I typically do tell them in advance of booking in case it may affect their decision. In terms of mattress firmness and how comfortable they are, I've slept just fine on the bed JC had slept on, so have other AirBnB guests and even family members who visited. If he really couldn't get a good night's rest on that mattress, I would've found a way to accommodate him so that he could sleep better.
4) When JC booked my home, it was around 9pm and he expected to be able to check in within approx. 20 minutes of booking. I had to actually cut a family function short and rush home to prepare his room and the rest of the home on extremely short notice. I did my best to accommodate him as well as his request for parking. Because of how last minute this was, I would've hoped for a little more understanding.
