Robert's flat is in a great location in a quiet back street, very close to lovely Battersea Park and the Albert Bridge where you can cross the river to Chelsea and beyond. We really enjoyed the Thames path and cycled to the White Hart right on the river in Barnes. Robert is a great host and although we did not meet as he was away, we were in contact by phone and all the arrangements went smoothly.

We stayed at Robert's flat for nearly three months and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Battersea park is one of the nicer green spaces in London and only a few minutes walk away. Charming Chelsea and Kings Road are just right over the bridge, about a 15min walk, with many restaurants and shops. Popular museums in Kensington are not far either. This area gives you a great feeling for real London life while being just on the edge of the very hectic and sometimes overbearing central/city area (Zone 1). I would recommend it to anyone looking to spend more than just a few days in London, or perhaps not the first time to the area. Although it is not close to a tube station, London bus service is very good, with a stop right at the street corner (1min walk). You can get pretty much anywhere in central London within 30-45min by taking the bus to South Kensington tube station and going from there. This may sound like a long time, but being forced to take the bus was almost a blessing in disguise as it is cheaper than the tube, and comes with great sightseeing along the way. Clapham Junction train station is also only a 10 minute bus ride which opens you up to the greater London area and southern England. The flat is very nice with plenty of room for two people. Very clean, good WiFi, has everything you would want for cooking, a large fridge, and the usual necessites. A comfy couch and HD projector tied to an Apple TV or HDMI port (laptop) is great for relaxing and recovering from travels. The bed is a bit noisy but very comfortable and spacious enough for a couple. Neighbors are quiet, but you can hear a lot of doors opening and closing in the outer hallway from the bedroom in the morning and sometimes late at night. The washing machine works well. Although the dryer is broken, a large drying rack is provided. Be warned that with London humidity, drying clothing naturally takes a good 24 hours. Overall its a great place to call "home" during your travels. Robert was a great host. He was kind enough to show us the flat before we booked it, as our original Airbnb reservation fell through. Robert was away traveling most of the time, but always attentive via messaging/email. We were planning to spend 6 months at the flat, but our travel plans came to an unfortunate halt and we had to leave early. Otherwise we would have had no complaints spending 6 months here. Robert was very understanding and had a friend check us out.
