Cabin was as advertised. Property was gorgeous. The hike to the summit of Potash Mountain and the views were spectacular. Not quite as seclured as expected, but not a bad thing. My dogs loved it, that was our primary reason for selecting this adventure. Out house could have been cleaner. Didn't use shower, but didn't expect to. We expected to use state Park showers that were advertised, but we discovered it was closed for the season after we arrived. The grocery store was also closed for the season. We found alteratives so not a big deal. The locals are extremely friendly!!! We packed for camping as usual except for the tent. Glad we did. I would stay here again.

Beautiful and very peaceful spot. Very private. Donna is kind and easy to communicate with. The cabin and fire pit area are clean and tidy. The accommodations a sufficient for a good nights sleep. Would recommend

Donna's place was perfect for my husband, and my two young kids. It was the perfect combination of seclusion and yet not so far away that it worried the kids! The hiking was fantastic and being so close to Lake George, there was plenty nearby to do on a rainy Saturday (try to regal cinemas with reclining leather seats!). Walking for about ten minutes, we had a found the perfect clearing to have a picnic and spend the afternoon listening to the wind in the trees! Truly the perfect get away for the family.

Donna was a wonderful host. I rented her cabin for my boyfriend's birthday and we both absolutely loved he trip. The cabin was very remote and the perfect "glamping" experience, just as described. Donna got in touch with me before the trip to ensure that we knew everything we needed to bring and provided some nice necessities such as drinking water, fire wood for the pit, and pots/utensils for cooking. I would love to rent this location again for my future camping trips. :-)

We had a good time. I'm glad we booked this place vs camping in a tent because it rained for 2 days! And was in the low 60s. We brought sleeping bags and foam mats. We also brought our pack n play for our toddler. Even though there wasn't running water, Donna provided us with a few gallons of water with a small spout (one for drinking in the cabin, one as a washing station). We didn't shower because it was cold and rainy. We used the fire pit to make breakfast on the pans she provided. So much to do nearby, and super easy to find at night with the big snowmobile trail sign right at the entrance.

While it is simple, Donna's cabin has everything you need for a stay in the Adirondacks. A babbling brook put us to sleep every night, there was quite a formidable fire pit, and Donna had even set up a little wash station (no running water). What she does not mention, nor do any of the reviews, is that the campsite is at the base of a mountain that Donna purchased to save from loggers, a fact that we learned from local hikers on our way to the top. An intermediate hike, it is not to be missed for the view of the below valley, other mountains, and Fourth Lake. There were even wild blueberries at the summit! Donna met us on the first night to show us around and then was available as needed throughout our stay with any questions we had. We highly recommend Donna's sweet little cabin in the woods and most likely will return next year. P.S. Don't miss out on the sandwiches at the small grocer at the bottom of the hill.
