Beschreibung

Nestled within city fringe, my gorgeous abode is blessed with unblocked view and lush green scenery, wonderful for people who love mother nature, resort-style living, privacy & serene neighborhood & who work/study nearby. Getting around is fuss-free!

My apartment is in a clean and well-maintained condominium, Vista Park, which is blessed with charming lush green surroundings as it is located right next to the Kent Ridge Park of the Southern Ridges of Singapore.

The house is on the top floor of a 4-storey block that occupies the highest ground in the condo. As a Feng Shui devotee, you would be glad to know that it carries an auspicious Feng Shui with a combined vista of an unblocked panorama facing the sea and an elevating green open spaces of the Kent Ridge hill at the back (背山面海). This characteristic is unusual but attractive in Singapore because most houses would have either but not both sceneries. To ordinary people like me, I am just glad that I could steal a glimpse of the sea, hear birds chirping and enjoy the lush green outdoor. Moreover, as it sits on the North and faces the South (坐北向南), it does not risk exposing directly to the scorching afternoon sun, which could make the house very warm in a tropical country. The space is breezy especially in year end as windows and doors are kept open since security and privacy are of no concern.

The interior of my apartment is designer-inspired, and has been featured in a couple of interior design-related media since renovated. It is a 1100 sqft-unit with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a balcony. I will be occupying one of the rooms and two available bedrooms are listed separately.

The master room (this listing) is an en suite (bathroom-attached) that comes with a standard king size bed (Simmons), a by-the-window cushioned settee (with delicate lighting that renders the room dimly lit when all other lights are off), a slidable writing desk, and a 42-inch smart TV that allows plug and play of hard drive- and laptop-sync (via a HD cable) contents. The room also has a big built-in and mirrored wardrobe but half of it is occupied. The other room is smaller with a single bed, a two-door wardrobe and a writing table, perfect for single occupant (see listing at https://www.airbnb.com.sg/rooms/6451493). If you stay in the en suite, the bathroom is all yours; if you stay in the single room, the bathroom is just 3-footstep away. I will share the bathroom if the en suite room is also occupied. Each room has its own air-conditioner.

The following amenities are provided:
1) High speed wifi internet connection
2) Bedding, king size comforter and pillows
3) Towels and bath toiletries
4) Password to access the house as keyless lock is installed
5) A side-gate access card that allows you to enter the exercise ground and Kent Ridge park/Southern Ridges behind the condo. It also leads you to the public transportation (MRT and buses) within 5-10 minutes walk.

Light cooking is allowed and do feel free to store your edible in the fridge. If you are a coffee aficionado, do help yourself with the Nespresso machine and its coffee capsules. Clean filtered water, tea, instant beverages and soft drinks are also available. Depending on the length of stay, you are welcome to use the washing machine cum dryer. Other paid cleaning services can be arranged upon request.

You would also have access to the condo facilities (subject to availability):

1) Swimming pool
2) Gym
3) Tennis courts
4) Squash court
5) Table tennis
6) BBQ pits
7) Jogging track
8) 24-hr security guard
9) Plenty of free parking lots if you drive
10) A poolside bistro operated by one of the residents in the condo. It serves delicious, reasonably priced and home cooked-like local as well as Western food/snacks. The bistro also serves alcoholic drinks and opens daily except on Monday. Indulge yourself with the mouth-watering must-have Singapore Laksa and daily chef-specialty that are popular among residents!

You could entertain your friends in the room so long I’m informed beforehand and on the premise that the volume is insignificant. Fee for additional staying guest may apply.

I travel overseas often for work and business. When I don’t, I work at home and could sometimes stay indoor all day. I will only host when I am not traveling so you would be able to reach me fairly easily throughout your stay. I will leave you with my mobile number so that you could reach me if I am not around.

I am a friendly person and I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life, regardless of age, gender, race, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, social or educational background, etc, so long you behave to social norms and are respect-worthy. I would be more than glad to share with you some tips, recommended venues for leisure, eat, shop and bargains, must-do and must-eat in this beautiful Garden City.

I wish to make your trip as wonderful and fruitful as possible so you can ask me about anything.

Nestled in Pasir Panjang, South-Western part of Singapore, and amongst landed houses and low-rise condominiums inhabited by a good mixed of locals and expatriates from all over the world, the ambience of Vista Park and its surroundings are tranquil and affable.

Overall, the neighbourhood is charming, laid-back, serene and not crowded as many other locations in Singapore. In fact, this is one of the least populated residential areas in the island where its residents are friendly and would smile at you and say hello when you walk pass. Besides, the neighbourhood is safe and many joggers jog round the clock even in late night. The road is usually quiet so much so that even an elderly would not afraid of jaywalking! You would also see astute drivers park their vehicles along the road shoulder to rest under the tree shades.

Although the condo is tucked away from the main road where traffic noise is inconceivable, it is easy to get around and find what you need. Within an approximately 3km radius, walking or public transportation could bring you directly to various places for work, study or leisure. Nearby, there are business centres and offices (e.g. Mapletree Business City, Metropolis Business Centre, One-North, Ayer Rajah Industrial Park), research and development centres (Biopolis, Fusionopolis and Science Park I & II), educational hub (National University of Singapore, INSEAD Asia Campus, ESSEC Business School, NCLI Institute), hospitals (National University Hospital, NUHS and Alexandra Hospital), and shopping malls (Alexandra Retail Centre, Vivocity, Star Vista, West Coast Plaza, Ikea and Queensway Shopping Centre).

The largest shopping mall in Singapore, Vivocity (ref. 5), is located just three train stops away at the HarbourFront terminal (8 minutes from Pasir Panjang station). The mall has a cinema, more than 300 shop lots and plenty of eateries and restaurants.

If you are a nature lover, a bird watcher, a health enthusiast or simply into outdoor, you must come experience the forestry, canopy trail and tree-top walks at the Southern Ridges of Singapore. The green, open spaces begin from Kent Ridge Park (immediately behind the condo) and connects you to the highest peak in Singapore, the Mount Faber, passing Labrador Nature Reserve, Telok Blangah Hill Park and Mount Faber Park, and some iconic landscapes and structures such as HortPark, Alexandra Arc and Henderson Waves.

For foodie, local hawkers, “kopi-tiam” (local small restaurant often has several food stalls in the same premises), restaurants, eateries and cafes are aplenty within walking distance.
You would be delighted to know that one of the popular food markets in Singapore is located right next to Pasir Panjang MRT station, which is less than 10 minutes stroll away from Vista Park condo.
Besides, there is also a good mixed of restaurants serving different types of cuisine, e.g. Western, Chinese, Indian, Malay, Thai, Korean, Japanese, Arabian, Italian and more in the vicinity.

If you would love to be spoilt for choices, you could head to Holland Village, a popular dining and nightlife destination for younger locals and expatriates. A direct bus ride of approximately 15 minutes will bring you here from the bus stop adjacent to the condo.

Getting around Singapore from Vista Park condo is easy due to its central location. In fact, the neighbourhood is considered city fringe, with city centre, business hubs and many tourist attractions, for example HarbourFront, Mount Faber, Sentosa island, Resorts World Sentosa, Jurong East via West Coast Highway, One-North, Holland Village, Botanic Gardens, Duxton Hill, Orchard Road, Tanjong Pagar, Clark Quay, CBD/Raffles Place, City Hall, Marina Bay Sands/Gardens by the Bay, and more located within a radius of approximately 10km.

Public transportation modes (MRT and buses) that will bring you to places are a short 5-10 minutes walk from Vista Park condo. Of course, you could also book or flag off a taxi inside or at the entrance of the condo.

Nearest MRT station: Pasir Panjang on Circle (Yellow) Line. It is connected to East-West (Green) Line at Buona Vista Station (estimated 8 minutes traveling time) and to North-East (Purple) Line at Harbourfront (estimated 6 minutes traveling time). Harbourfront/Vivocity is the gateway to Resorts World Sentosa and Sentosa Island. You can also change to the Downtown (Blue) Line at Chinatown station, which is 2-station away from Harbourfront.

Buses: There are several bus stops in the vicinity that could bring you to many places and attractions directly.

Some examples:
Changi Airport: Less than thirty-minute taxi ride, approximately one hour traveling time with MRT (need to change 2 train lines)
Orchard Road: Approximately 20 minutes traveling time with MRT (need to change 2 train lines)
Clark Quay: Approximately 15 minutes traveling time with MRT (need to change 1 train line)
Holland Village: Approximately 15 minutes traveling time with a direct bus or 12 minutes traveling time with MRT (direct)
Botanic Gardens: Approximately 15 minutes traveling time with MRT (direct)
Bayfront (Marina Bay Sands/Gardens by the Bay): Approximately 18 minutes traveling time with MRT (need to change 2 train lines)
Esplanade: Approximately 20 minutes traveling time with MRT (need to change 2 train lines)
Chinatown: Approximately 12 minutes traveling time with MRT (need to change 1 train line)
Little India: Approximately 18 minutes traveling time with MRT (need to change 1 train line)

A mobile app developed by the Singapore Government, (URL HIDDEN) is an excellent tool for you to plan your journey and get around Singapore as it provides content-rich information for all modes of land transportation in Singapore.

This space may not be suitable for people who dislike or who could not climb up stairs (to the fourth floor) because it is an walk-up without lift.

Please note that the room listed here is for the master, en suite room with a king size bed (for two or more occupants). The bedroom with a single bed (for one occupant) is listed at https://www.airbnb.com.sg/rooms/6451493

Occasionally, my family, relatives or friends would visit and the space would not be feasible for hosting. So please first contact me and inquire about the room's availability before you send in your reservation. Thank you!
