It's a fully-functioning 15-acre olive farm nestled low on a gently sloping hill overlooking the stunningly serene Bay of Bademli on the Aegean coast of Turkey. Just 1 km away from the traditional village of Bademli.

Three newly built wooden houses sit at the back of the farm, on the third terrace. Trees shelter the area from the sun and a fresh breeze blows in freely from the bay of Bademli. Each house contains a double bed with fresh linen, basic furnishing, a lamp and an electric kettle. There is a nearby bath house with all the necessities, hot water and a modern walk-in shower.

Guests are welcome to use the whole farm. All appliances, kitchenware are free to use. Guests can prepare meals or just relax at a second communal dining area located just a few mintues away.

We greet our guests at the time of arrival. We will be available at place in case you have questions or needs.
Ayten Hanim and her son Kemal Bey live in the main house at the front of the property and maintain the general operations of the farm.
English speakers will be on hand to assist guests with their needs and to give tours of the local area.

Bademli is a timeless place with narrow lanes, and a welcoming town square, where friendly townsfolk gather to drink tea or the locally made Koruk (grape juice). A couple of small markets with food and other necessities can be found here, but the real pleasure is in discovering that you've adopted the town's own quiet pace as your own.
Bademli is a well preserved town in the ancient Greek area of Aeolis, home to the god of wind.
Aristotle taught in nearby Dikili, and Bademli itself has seen many name changes over the years, from Kanai, to Encenoz. The population in winter is around nine hundred. This doubles in the summer time, but you would hardly notice it as most of the new additions spend their time relaxing in the shade or at one of the nearby beaches.
The coastline is dotted with beautiful beaches. These can be reached by foot (40 mins) or by car (10 mins). The beaches are rarely crowded and are suitable for children and adults alike. A small daily fee will apply to the private beaches, while the others can be reached via the farm's small motorboat, which is located at the fishing port, a few minutes away, or by one of the farm's two mopeds. Six hiking trails of varying degrees of difficulty exist in the hills behind the farm.
Finally, visitors to Bergama can explore the breathtaking mountainside Acropolis of the once powerful city of Pergamum, a site now recognized by the Unesco's World Heritage Site.

The nearest international airport is in Izmir, the main port on Turkey's Aegean coast, two hours south of Bademli by road. A modern highway connects Izmir with Dikili, the nearest market town, three kilometers away from Bademli. From Istanbul visitors can best reach us by taking the regular car ferry from Istanbul to Bandirma (2 hours), then driving from Bandirma via Balikesir to Dikili (3 hours). There is an eight kilometer asphalt road from Dikili to the town of Bademli and The Farm is just one kilometer beyond the town. Access is also possible via car ferry from Mytilini (Lesvos) via Ayvalik or Dikili. If you wish, we will provide you discounted airport transfer as extra.

In addition to our complimenarty breakfast, traditional home-cooked meals are available upon request. The Olive Farm's cuisine is characteristic of the area and is lovingly prepared by our resident chef, Ayten Hanım. Fresh wild greens, local herbs and vegetables, and meat are the ingredients of the dishes you will enjoy.
