Walk in the door and feel happy at our renovated historic cottage. Originally built in 1859 this home is in the Historic District of Savannah. Parking is free & easy on-street on this block. A King bedroom, a Queen bedroom and sofa bed. We allow a max of 4 adults, however an "extra" person is welcome but only if it is a dependent child. No extra adults are permitted.
This authentic historic railroad worker cottage was built in 1872 and is beautifully updated and preserved. The photos are showing you 2 bedrooms (one has a King, the other has a Queen). This sleeps 5 max in the form of 2 couples (2 people sharing a bed, in each bedroom) and one single or child on the pullout queen sofa bed. The dining area seats 4 and the living room has a regular sofa which seats 3. The cottage is just over 800 square feet.
We have a record player & record collection in the living room!
Located on 'the prettiest street in town', Jones Street which is central to the many tourist attractions of the Landmark Historic District and walkable to everything. The northern boundary of the Historic District (River Street) is half a mile away heading north. The southern end of the Historic district (Forsyth Park) is half a mile away heading south.
A King bedroom and a Queen bedroom are side by side. French doors with heavy privacy curtains on both sides of the glass separate the bedrooms. Families can open the curtains & doors to adjoin the rooms if desired.
The bathroom is located off the kitchen for equal access to both bedrooms. A pullout Queen sofa is in the Living Room. Full size washer and dryer. The kitchen is equipped for cooking & dining. Note that no food is provided.
Parking is on-street and does not require a permit or decal (public parking is free here) as this street is not metered.

The cottage is your private rental with no shared interior space. The back yard is shared with 2 other cottages located on the opposite side of the yard.

This is a rental for independent people who enjoy privacy. I am more than happy to answer questions and send extra info about Savannah (I do have a guidebook on airbnb and a notebook in the cottage) but I will not be hanging out with you. Please do not book this one if that will disappoint you! I love chatting with guests and you won't be bothering me if you text with questions about restaurants or anything like that. Tell me if you need anything! If I do not hear from you after I tell you how to access the cottage I will assume you are enjoying yourself and I will not bother you unless there is a problem.

A notebook inside the house will have your wifi password, a checkout procedure and some suggested restaurants, etc. around town.
Do not rearrange the furniture
The following is standard Savannah Luxury Rentals information: We provide sheets, toilet paper and soap. Our toilet paper is Scott brand because it decreases the chances of clogged toilet plumbing service calls and it lasts longer decreasing the chance you will run out. If you prefer thick cushioned toilet paper bring it along but use it sparingly in our older plumbing and never flush "flushable" wipes or other products that are likely to cause a clog.
Quiet Hours 9pm to 8am applies most especially to the courtyard. This is a City Ordinance and our guests' behavior affects our right to rent the cottage for less than 30 days at a time.
Violations (noise complaints) can result in eviction without a refund.
Check in time is 3:00pm
Checkout time is 11:00am
Bring your own beach towels, etc if you plan to visit Tybee. Our towels & linens must remain inside the house.
Children are welcome if well supervised (for example please don't leave them in the living room with markers... spoken from experience)
Our rental rates are for lodging purposes only, no events, parties or gatherings of more than 5 people may occur without written permission.
