Right next door is one of Albuquerque's premier bed and breakfast operation "Downtown Historic Bed and Breakfast". One of the homes is very historic, referred to as the “Spy House” because of Atomic Bomb drawings being sold by David Greenglass, the brother of the infamous Ethel Rosenburg, to a soviet spy. The “Spy House” is also a full service bed and breakfast operation.
House is a beautiful restored historic home we have lovingly furnished with antiques we ask that our guests treat the house with the same care and gentleness you would any antique. Therefore we ask guests NOT to smoke inside house. Also we DO NOT allow pets. We love children but prefer to
have you call owners if you have children because of the nature of the house. We are not wheelchair accessible.
Hello my name is Kara, I am a creative woman in her late 40's with an amazing husband Steve that is my best friend and 4 beautiful children. My 2 oldest are boys that are in college and I have 2 teenage girls that are fun and keep me on my toes. I love animals and love to be helpful. The second trait of mine is good to have since I am the owner of a bed and breakfast with my husband. We get very little time off but when we do we love to do things outdoors and with our kids if they are not to busy doing other things. We love to travel but unfortunately with our businness don't get to as much as we would like but are in a place where we are trying to make more time for ourselves and travel more. As a guest of others I don't require a lot since I spend so much time hosting others I hate to ask much of others. As a host I love to provide everything that you might need, even those things that you might not think about. I have now spent 10 years of my life knowing what people typically forget or need and want you to feel like you are at home. The homes that we have as our B&B are historic homes that we have lovingly restored and love each one of them and really enjoy sharing them with others. The 5 things I can't live without would have to be fellowship with my sweet heavenly father, my husband and kids, our pets, good fellowship of others, and chips and salsa.:). My favorite motto is "Life is short don't worry about the small things because in the end it is all small stuff!!"
