The living room has an air of sophistication with elegant wood furnishings adorned with bone china ornaments and intricately detailed rugs. There are a variety of seating options, from the luxurious chaise long, quintessentially British armchairs to cosy red sofa with throws. The coffee table and bookshelves are rich with reading material should you opt for a quiet night in by the fire, or if you prefer, there is also a brand new flat screen TV with Freeview channels, DVD and audio player.
The kitchen is quite something, with white corian worktops and built in appliances, you’ll find everything you need to make a delicious meal during your stay and there is a substantial table to seat six guests with ease. The private rear garden is laid to lawn and is much bigger than your average London backyard, with a electric canopy should you wish to find a shady spot! There is a downstairs cloakroom for convenience and utility room which houses the washing machine and tumble dryer.
Upstairs there are three bedrooms, all of which overlook the garden and two good-sized bathrooms. The first bedroom is a pretty single room with bedside table and chair. Next door is the first of the double bedrooms, the bed is flanked by two bedside tables, each side with its own reading light, a beautiful old dresser with mirror also occupies this room. The shower room across the landing is clean and bright with fresh white tiles, shower, toilet, basin and heated towel rail. The landing itself is particularly wide and can easily accommodate a double aero bed upon request. In the master bedroom there is a comfortable double bed, a large wardrobe with plenty of hanging and rail space for guests and a chest of drawers. The bathroom benefits from separate bath and shower cubicle as well as basin, toilet, bidet and heated towel rails. This property also comes with much demanded car parking space.
Just south of the river, Putney has the best of both worlds with quiet residential streets and green open spaces of Putney Heath, yet you are still only 15 minutes by tube from the tourist attractions and world renowned landmarks of central London as well as world renowned sporting venues Wimbledon LTC, Fulham and Chelsea FC, The Oval and Twickenham. This property is located on a quiet residential road, close to Putney East station and less than 10 minutes walk from the banks of the Thames. Not only is this part of the city peaceful and secluded it also has a huge array of restaurants and shops to suit your every mood! Neighbouring Fulham with its upmarket boutiques and wine bars is a 15 minute walk away over Putney Bridge.
Alternatively, hire yourselves some Barclay 'Boris' bikes from the docking station located on Upper Richmond Road and cycle your way along the idyllic river routes all the way to the attractive areas of Richmond and Chiswick with their charming British pubs. Wimbledon’s All Lawn Tennis Club and home to the grand slam Championships each year is only one stop on the district line or about a 30 minute walk from the property.
