Spacious, sunny flat in Zone 2. Easy access to central London via Overground, London's newest line. Close to Goldsmiths College, hospitals (Guys, St. Thomas's, and Kings), areas of historic & natural beauty (Greenwich, Black Heath, Crystal Palace).
This large first floor, double-bed room is light, bright, and warm, and if you rent it in August, you will have the whole flat to yourself!
The east wall is all windows, there is a huge wardrobe, plus a TV and a table that serves as a desk and can open up into a larger desk. I can provide a fold-out bed for an additional person -- please indicate how many you are booking for if that's of interest.
There is free, fast wifi, and a lovely big kitchen with gas stove in which you may make your breakfast and cook. It is a shared bathroom; and there's a separate toilet.
There is also a shared balcony off the entryway (next to the kitchen) which overlooks a communal garden. And, all the carpets in rooms as well as the flooring in the bathroom and toilet are fairly new, so it all feels lovely and fresh!
We are a 5 minute walk down a tree-lined street from very fast and frequent train service (London Bridge in 20 minutes) and tube service from Brockley (the Overground gets you to Jubilee Line at Canada Water in about 15 minutes). Or if you prefer to see the city you are traveling through, there is very good bus service from here. There is also plenty of free on-street parking, and some off-street parking as well, and local car rental options if you like to drive.
The community here is the best part -- there's an annual 2-week arts festival in the spring and lots of other high-calibre local events throughout the year, all sourced in this very talented and close-knit community. There are also lots of very good cafés and restaurants nearby, including natural food shops and the unique and interesting Hill Station Café (feel free to ask me the story behind that).
This is a trendy, up-and-coming part of London and very culturally diverse -- well worth exploring.

Because I work internationally, I can be on the phone at all hours day and evening, which affects my availability to chat. However, happy to if I'm here and available, and in fact I love good conversation, so if time permits, we can have deep, rich explorations of the most important things in life...
I'm also a Lindy Hopper, so if you like to dance, I'm happy to show you the best places to go in London.

Having had a few difficult experiences with guests, I want to be really clear what my perspective is in doing Airbnb, and be sure we are in agreement before you book.
I am NOT running a hotel! I am making friends I have not yet met welcome in my home, and giving them an opportunity to experience this city from the comfort of that home at a reasonable price.
I am taking a risk, one that impacts my lifestyle, in opening my home in this way. I trust that you will respect that, that you will keep my home in the condition you find it, and that you will respect both my boundaries and my right to arrange my flat and live the way I choose, even if it is not the way you might choose. If so, then this will work out well for all of us and I know you will enjoy this most interesting of cities. If you understand, then please start your request to me with "I am a Star!" so I know you get it!
If you do not, I know you will find another place in this huge city that is just right for you.
You must be in touch with me or my agent directly (I will provide details) before you arrive, to arrange a mutually-agreeable time. If you are late, do not let us know, and my agent has to either wait or come back, I will have to charge you for her time.
I want you to enjoy your time here, and for you to treat it like your own home. That means both that I want you to be comfortable, and that you will not do anything here that you would not want to live with long-term!
There is no smoking, and as said above I also ask that you not wear (or shower with) strong perfumes or chemicals, as I'm highly sensitive to them.
If you drink I may join you for one, but if you like to come home every night late and loud after partying hard, you will want to find someplace more amenable to your lifestyle.
I play tennis, dance (Lindy Hop, which you may know as Jitterbug, or Swing), love to read and the arts, and I love to travel. I feel very fortunate to love the work I do in my primary business, helping business people find their callings, and do the work they uniquely are meant to do...
Part of what I love about my secondary business (renting rooms to people) and my traveling is all the interesting people I get to meet and know. I'm originally from Massachusetts, where I still own a home that I rent out, returning to enjoy it in the summers. I also spend time in the winters in Arizona (l love sunshine!), staying with friends and family.
I like people to feel at home in my home; however, since we all have different standards, needs, and desires, I find it can be a delicate balance for us all to feel comfortable and relaxed. I try to facilitate that by being very up front about what I need and want for me to feel comfortable hosting you, and hope you will do the same.
