Charity was promptly responsive to my last minute request and sent very helpful tips and thorough check-in information. The house was gorgeous, homey, and clean, with nice amenities (jacuzzi was a pleasant surprise). I had a short stay but it was just what I needed. Location was very close to the historic downtown, but a bit away from the Asseateague (which was fine for my purposes). Also, not a big deal for me, but I couldn't figure out how to lock my room from the outside (I stayed in Bay View room). Otherwise everything was great!
Charity your Inn is quite charming, conveniently located and was in every way exactly as it was described - nothing about its beauty and charm was embellished. Given this was my first visit to Chincateague I was glad to see that the Inn was located close to the causeway since the roads were dark. Your recommendations on local dining came in handy and my wife and I shared a late meal at the Ropewalk and then turned in. I thought our room was cozy and well appointed, and the bed was quite comfortable. While I'm not often known to trade in a quick shower for a warm bath I felt so good after stepping into the slow lane! However, the things which stood out to me about our room was not just the jacuzzi but the thoughtfulness of having natural soap and the custom hand cream were well appreciated.
We stayed here for a weekend and it would a great experience. Very close to Assateaque Beach, historic Chincoteaque, and Main Street. The communication with Charity was excellent and all her recommendations were spot on. The Baywatch room was spacious with a view and the jacuzzi was great to have. Charity provided ample drinks and breakfast snacks, including delicious homemade muffins. We were also able to borrow beach chairs and bikes. Biking around town was a highlight of the trip. Would love to come back and stay again.
Our stay at Charity's Chincoteague house was better than I had hoped. Besides the utter charm and excellent location so close to town, Charity has thought of everything! Breakfast was serve yourself, with loads of options; scones, bagels, cereal, coffee, tea, fruit and snacks... even local quail and chicken eggs, hard boiled so you can take them to be the beach. The rooms are outfitted with all conveniences, they were spacious and lovely. The wraparound porch with super comfy couches and rocking chairs was the perfect place to cap off a day of sightseeing and beach going. I would love to have spent more time there, so will plan another trip!
The house is beautiful, so much attention room is given to each feature. I loved our room and felt comfortable sitting in the shared areas. Snacks, sodas, water and basic breakfast foods were provided foe is to use as needed. Bikes were available although we sis not use them. Location is great, the place is clean and quiet. We loved it there.
