The apartment is located on the border to the first district. This means that famous attractions like the Vienna Opera or Stephansplatz can be easily reached by foot. What makes it special however is that the apartment is located in a quiet neighbourhood and street, perfect for families and those who want the comfort of a central location without the hassle of living on a busy street filled with tourists.
The Karlsplatz metro station can be reached in just 5 minutes by foot. With three metro lines and numerous bus and tram connections, it's probably the best connected public transportation station in Vienna.
Free parking is possible on the street during weekends. During the week, there is the possibility of parking in a parking garage right around the corner from the apartment.
There is a number of ways to reach the apartment from the airport:
1. Take a taxi (easiest). It will take 20-30 minutes and cost around EUR40. Recommended for groups of 3+ people
2. Take a train into the city, e.g. the CAT airport train and then take the metro to the Karlsplatz metro station. Look for the "Resselpark" exit, the apartment is located on a street behind the large Karlskirche (Karls Church). Recommended for groups of 1-2 people.
Don't hesitate to let me know if you need recommendations for restaurants, attractions, etc.!
I will be waiting in the apartment so as to give you the keys and give you a short tour of the place. I'm flexible when it comes to your arrival times, so it won't be a problem even if you arrive really early or late.
You will always be able to contact me per telephone or through airbnb- whether you want some recommendations for places to eat or want some tips as to what is worth seeing in Vienna.
On the day of departure I like to be there about 15 minutes before you plan to leave, to take the keys and wish you a good trip!
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me.
Über den Gastgeber, Oscar
I'm a 27 year old business school graduate who loves to travel and is often away on business trips. Together with my mother we rent out our apartment in Vienna to families and groups of friends who are looking for an elegant and centrally located place to stay while they discover the city. The people I have met through airbnb so far have all been exceptionally friendly and interesting. I always try to help out with good restaurant, cafe, bar and museum recommendations for Vienna.
